Pours pretty dark for an IPA-- its almost a hazelnut colour with auburn highlights. The head is nice at first but goes away quickly ( i suspect this is due more to the glasses than the beer. ) Smell is of spice and hops. Taste is very hoppy, a floral spicy flavour with just enough malt to keep your cheeks from sucking together. Tasted like an advanced good homebrew. A little one sided, but pretty tasty.. Mouthfeel is average due to the dryness, however I happen to like dry so i give it a good in the drinkablity department. Overall its one of their better efforts and would drink it again. Hilltops beers are definately starting to improve a bit.

Edit-- I just read somewhere where the brewer claims that this beer comes in at 147 IBUs.. Doesnt taste like it, but I guess the numbers are the numbers.

Just didn't like this one. But I don't like IPA. There you go.
Like Tinus said, a bit dark for the average IPA, but not too bad looking. It has corriander and rose scents. Medium, quickly dissipated head. There is flavor, but those damn hops just interfere too much. Way too hopped. A little on the chemical side when it comes to bitters.
Average feel, but I couldn't even finish the sample.
