Appearance - This poured a dingy and mysterious orange in color with a good head.

Smell - The rich yeast hits first followed by the complex sugars. The fruits are amazing and I can't even begin to pick them all out. There is definitely a strong apricot aroma along with some good citrus but not orange. I get something else like grapefruit but without the rind-like bitter smell imparted from most hops.

There's some good spicing in here as well. The coriander which somehow in most American efforts at the style turns into a medicine cabinet here is very pure and freshly piqued. I just made some lettuce wraps the other day spicing the turkey with coriander and this very much reminds me of it.

Taste - The spices come on big at the taste but manage to stay smooth and in perfect harmony with the yeast. The fruits stay true to form and now I'm getting some light cherries and maybe some darker things such as plums. The fruit flavor is so intense that I found myself just staring into the glass.

Mouthfeel - This is a big medium-bodied with some light carbonation that didn't quite live up to the "chaos" namesake.

Drinkability - This was one of the best-flavored American efforts at a BSPA that I've had in a long time. It doesn't quite measure up to my all-time American classic favorites - Pranqster & Symposium - but is running close with a few other beauty shops like Spring Fever and Demolition 1800.

first extra from my first trade, thanks ncmussell.

Pours a light amber color with an extremely fizzy, soda like, head that recedes quickly. The aroma starts out with a strong lemony smell, followed by some belgian yeast spiciness. In the background there is a fair amount of biscuity/old bread smell. The taste is more of the same but the thin body sort of washes out the taste for me. Overall it was an interesting beer and had some interesting belgian smells going on in the nose but the body just didn't properly support the beer.

Poured from a growler I picked up from the brewery/tasting room yesterday to a Duvel chalice.
Fairly mirky amber/caramel color with a 2cm bubbly white head. Low retention and no lacing.

Belgian candy sugar, banana and caramel malt on the nose.

Light flavor. Not alot of depth. Slight sweetness up front similar to the banana flavors in a Hef. Also orange peel and maybe bitter mango. Transitions quickly to a slight sour finish. Flavor is pleasant and fairly balanced.

Light bodied and crisp mouth feel with good carbonation.

Overall it's good but nothing special. Could be a beer for someone trying to transition into liking sours. The right time to drink this beer is now in this hot CA summer.

Pours golden with a substantive lasting head. Neutral aroma. Scary bottle as moisture beads outside the cork. Average mouthfeel. Dirty blonde that degenerates into yeast and alcohol, a tad of spice and fruit and more would have been better. not great drinkability.Bottle in trade with West Coast rater.

Appearance: Cloudy golden yellow color with a fair sized white head that faded fairly quickly to a thin ring.

Smell: Peach-like fruity notes and some bready aromas.

Taste: The Peach-like fruity notes from the nose come through along with some bready notes. The beer finishes gracefully with the fruity notes. Another bonus for me is it's hopped true to authentic Belgian style not another variation of a DIPA.

Mouth-feel: Medium-bodied with modest carbonation.

Overall: I can't argue with a beer I feel that tastes good and is priced well. Another one to add to my list of beers I'll buy again.

Pours dark amber with a quickly fading and thin white head. Nothing special in the looks department.

Nose is very assertive sweet cooked malty bananas, carmel and light sweetened coffee with almost a maple character. Nice nose, a hint of whiskey and very Belgian candi sugar.

Mouthfeel is medium, with some nice body, light creamy character and good rich feel.

Flavors follow the nose. Flavors are bold and assertive. Very banana malty with sweet ripe apricots, carmel and some light sweet creamed coffee with toffee undertones and lots of Belgian candi sugar character. Flavors are pleasant and bright although there is a sweetness that may be detracting to some.

Finish is light grapefruit bitter hop with hints of coffee and light espresso. Nice effort.

murky amber color with a huge, two inch plus head of off white yeasty foam on top. Nice retention as it hung around for a good long while.

spicey and yeasty. Alot of nutmeg, and fruit notes were very prominent from the start. Lively aroma, you could tell there was a nice amount of yeast in hear. A touch of alcohol was also present at first, but seemed to mix out as it warmed up.
very smooth. Not even a hint of the alcohol inside this one. It was just a very spicey belgian. Made your lips tingle a bit, this one tasted alive still, very nice. It had a good earthy grain quality and a touch of some light fruit. Very nice balance.

On-tap at Venice Ale House, Venice, CA

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down, leaving some patches of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose along with notes of pale malts and hints of sweetness.
T: The taste is very much like the smell and has flavors of pale malts with strong notes of yeast, hints of sweetness and bits of alcohol.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a good beer to sip. It isn't as dry as some of the other beers in the style and hides its alcohol rather well.
