650ml Bottle purchased at Bootleggers Brewery 11/23/12
Served in a tulip Glass
A: This beer pours a nice dark amber with a 1-2 finger head with some lacing. Some alcohol legs are visible. A small head lingers.
S: Sweet citrus and pine dominate the aroma. there is no alcohol in the smell.
T: Malty pineapple flavors dominate the initial flavor profile. Some mango with a quickly dissipating bitterness finish the back end. This beer is on the sweeter side of the DIPA spectrum. This specific batch is a little more sweet and a little less hoppy than previous batches in my opinion. Even with the small variations this is a great beer.
M: This beer has a thick mouthfeel. The effervescence does help cut down the syrupy mouthfeel, but the finish is still slightly sticky.
O: This another great West Coast DIPA. Find it now. Recommended.
