On-tap at Bootlegger's

A: The pour is a cloudy golden orange color with a finger of white head.

S: Dank. Ass. Hops. Lots of juicy grapefruit and tangerine providing tons of citrus, and a touch of sweetness. Almost as much pine which is quite resinous and intense. Solid.

T: The flavor meets expectations and offers up tons of grapefruit, tangerine, and a hint of apricot. Piney hops provide bitterness and there is no malt to be found in this beer. Moderately dry, and bitter, on the finish.

M: Medium in both body and carbonation.

O: Everyone else was drinking Knuckle Sandwich, but they were missing out on a fantastic IPA. Hopefully this becomes part of the rotation. (675 characters)

On tap at Bootlegger's.

A: Burnished gold with a small fleeting head.

S: Orange and tangerine flesh are strong. Malt is faint and crackery. Floral notes are light.

T: Crackery malt with a little bread and faint sweetness. Hops are slightly herbal with pine, orange, and tangerine. There's a touch of alcohol.

M: Lower medium in body with lower high carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry and sticky.

Overall: An okay IPA. Nothing stands out. (448 characters)

Pint of this at Stout in Hollywood. The tap list says this is brewed by Hollywood Brewery, but when I asked the bartender he said the owner brewed it at Bootlegers. Makes sense... I guess?

Clear golden body with a finger of white foam. Head dies down to a slim layer of foam. Not much lacing.

Smells slightly earthy and bitter. Some light citrusy notes.

Some grapefruit hops that quickly are beaten back by metallic and bread like malts. More grainey and husky as it warms.

Good start, lame mid palate and finish, pretty flabby if you ask me.

Abv is well hidden, but a pretty grainy and hop lacking IPA. (608 characters)
