Pours an effervescent copper with a pinky of cream colored head.. Average head retention and lacing
S; Cakey, toffee notes. Fades as this warms up
T; Follows the nose, dryness and pineyness up front. Piney, dryness, a little brown sugar as this beer warms up. Finishes Piney with a little dryness and toffee, a kiss of orange as well
MF; Chewy, subdued carbonation; pretty good balance
Solid , the ABV is felt. Very much an American take on the style

Appearance - The beer was a deep copper color with a white head.
Smell - The nose is malty and caramelly with a little grassiness.
Taste - In the initial taste, I detect notes if sweet caramel. Other notes include malts, grass & resin, resin, toffee, and dark fruits. The taste becomes more resinous toward the back. It leand more toward an English barleywine than American.
Mouthfeel - The feel is nicely thick and coating with a warming impression toward the back.
Overall - After a year in the cellar, I liked this more than expected.

-11.3%, chalice. 55-59C serving temperature.
A: Ice tea pour produced a steady sitting peanut shell toned capping that was firm and frothy of 2 finger standing. Slow, mesmerizing pace of micro-effervesce is spacious and gentle on the rise. Big lace dressing on the vessel.
S: Toffee, passion fruit, fresh peach and fruity nose. Freshly squeezed citrus, fresh herbal notes with sweet toffee alcohol on the finish. Absolutely love the aroma here, great representation of the galaxy hops.
T: Scotchy malt, light grassy hops with a nice smooth polished delivery of sweet boozy alcohol. Dank herbal hops, dried toffee, dried tropical fruit, pine-scotch with spicy sweet citric elements. Some yeasty apple-plum esters.
M: Full bodied malty lush mouthful, warming spicy toffee and gentle carbonation.
O: Overall love the opening aroma, strength and complexity that highlights the galaxy hops. Beautiful, smooth scotchy booze flavor with a gentle spicy alcohol leave.

A: Pours a dark copper color with a lasting half finger tan head that leaves some soapy and sticky lace after each sip.
S: Heavy malt presence, some faint mango, caramel, a touch of vanilla and some golden raisin. Not intense in the way of hops, but they're tucked in there.
T: I'm not the biggest American barleywine fan, but this is surprisingly good. A big blanket of malt and some light pine resin throughout. Touches of toffee and a bit of pine on the finish, trailing into a lingering pine resin bite.
