On tap at the Bootlegger's 5th Anniversary Celebration held at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.
Billed as a sour ale aged 12+ months in Hungarian oak barrels.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and funky with acidic and really strong white vinegar aromas. Taste is much the same with a one dimensional white vinegar flavor on the finish. There is a high amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is a decent attempt at a sour but it's super vinegar forward in the smell and taste.
