On tap at Tomlinson Tap Room. Poured a nice semi-deep brown, with a bit of nice head and some semi-decent lacing. Very deep earthy hop aroma, with some roasty maltiness underneath; not as deep malty as I like, but not bad, especially considering it's lower ABV. Huge roastiness in the flavor, perhaps too much for a brown (and not a porter), with a decent earthy/floral hop finish. Good brown ale, could be a little less roasty and a little more nutty/entish flavor profile.

A: Dark brown, creamy head, excellent clarity.

S: Chocolate and toast, very mild and balanced

T: Very toasty, hints of roast and chocolate, nutty in the background.

M: Low carbonation, a little thin bodied but still quite enjoyable.

O: A solid Brown from Indiana. Highly recommended for anyone stopping through Crown Point.

Poured into my 22oz clubmember glass from the tap.

A- A pretty coppery brown with a one finger soapy beige head with no lacing.

S- Malty sweet with a hint of caramel.

T-Opened with toasted ,carmely, crusty bread notes followed by floral hops and a nutty semi-dry finish.

M-Fairly light bodied despite its richer appearance.

D-Good flavor, light body and 4.1 ABV make this brown ale a great session beer and a good choice for someone new to the craft beer scene. I felt the beer could have been a little more rounded with more body.Despite asking for a bigger head only one finger of foam could be obtained.

Tried on tap at Crown 28 Jun 2011. Served in a shaker pint.

Small light brown head, lightly carbonated. Clear medium brown color with reddish highlights. Light roasty chocolatey aroma. Starts with a light nutty astringency. Some light chocolate notes. Finish and aftertaste are lightly astringent bitter. Light body and alcohol.

Easy to drink but a little too astringent.
