an opaque bright orange-yellow with 2 fingers of fluffy white head which quickly dissipated into 1/8" of foam throughout the drink. smells of slight citrus (orange), bready.. not much else going on there. HOLY HELL this is sour as it gets for berliner weiss beers! a nice blast of citrusy sour/tart flavors takeover completely.. lemon, orange, bready... very acidic, right up my alley.
tart, light (medium) body with high carbonation.. a perfect refreshing beer to finish off this hellish work week through a heat wave.

this is a damn near perfect beer for the style.. i do think it could have used a bit more in the aroma category.. and even the flavor.. although i LOVE how tart/acidic it is, it is lacking in flavor where you could actually pinpoint what citrusy fruit it is you actually taste. enough nitpicking, i love this one!

22 oz. bomber,

A: Pours a murktastic goldenrod with a soft medium white head, very good lace for the style.

S: Lactic acid, lemon, sour wheat.

T: Huge sourdough bread and lemon attack with a lot of lactic acid. Not the hugest complexity, but very much to style.

M: Medium to high acidity, crisp, light-bodied. Tart puckering finish.

O: A well made and to style Berliner with a lot of good flavours. A solid starting point to get into the style available locally.

Murky dark gold, forms a fluffy stark white head of about a finger before it recedes quickly leaving one or two flecks of laving on the glass. It should be noted that the yeast does settle and compact easily, first pour resulted in really ugly yeast chunks floating around.

Solid wheat and mild grain backbone. Bright lemon juice and tart green apple fruitiness. Lactic sourness. Moderate strength, let's dive in.

Fruity with tart apple and lemons, flashes the sour early in the drink and as it fades bright grainy flavors emerge, maybe a bit of cardboard too. The tartness of this brew is as intense as any other Berliner I've tried. Clean finish with a hint of grain lingering, mouthwatering tartness.

More substance here from the yeast than I would like and adequately carbonated. Tartness is lip smacking and literally mouthwatering. Encourages you to dive back in before the drool goes everywhere.

At 6 a bomber this beer is very economical and readily available in the SoCal area. Not overly complex, as good of a representative of style and easy to drink. A go to when the weather really starts to burn.
