This one is past it's prime. You can tell there was a decent brew there at one point but the moment has passed. Flavor is decent, but you can't pour it without it foaming over. Skip.

Pour is clear copper with a moderate bubbly light tan head. Nose has a fair bit of grain and some caramel malt. Hints of licorice and some piney hops. Taste is rough, caramel an messy malt, dirty grain and faint hop presence. Overly sweet and tropical fruit bubble gum. Light stale bitterness in the finish. Smooth feel, avg. carb and lighter body.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, brown sugar, and citrus fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with earth and subdued citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that still has a solid aroma, but the flavors come across as old at this time.

Bought online from Holiday Wine Cellar. Have been to BMB with my dad for a few brews a couple years back, so thought I'd revisit their other offerings.
A: Hazy orange; thick head
S: Citrusy hops; not overpowering
T: Bitter. More than I'd expect from an APA (not a bad thing). Bordering on an IPA
M: Moderate carbonation; bitterness lingers
O: I thoroughly enjoyed it. If I lived in SD, I'd be happy drinking this regularly

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a finger of white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of bready malt, tropical fruit and citrus hops. Flavor is mild pale malt, pineapple, lemon citrus and citrus hops, finishing with citrus hops flavor and bitterness. Medium bodied. A hoppy, but otherwise rather light tasting pale ale. The flavor of the El Dorado hops is good and contributes to a nice aroma, but not as much to flavor. The light malt body is not quite supportive of the hopping. A satisfactory pale ale emphasizing fruit flavor and hop bitterness, pleasant but doesn't really stand out.
