A - Pours an amber reddish brown with a huge 3.5 finger dark tan head with excelant retention and lacing. The beer is cloudy in appearance
S - Very sweet smelling aroma. Slight caramel and raisins are present with maybe even a slight hint of coffee
T - Not nearly as sweet as it smells. It is actually even slightly bitter on the front. Has a nice caramel and nutty kick to it. Slight roasted coffee bean taste as well
M - On the lighter side of medium. Slick drinking. Very very very smooth. No burn whatsoever
O - extremely enjoyable brown. Great flavor and plenty of it. Sessionable for sure. Ready for another!

Poured into a snifter
A: Mahogany brown, opaque, with a tan half finger head that turns to small bubbles. Decent lacing.
S: Caramel malts, nutty and grainy.
T: Those nuts slide in with a sweet caramel fullness. Smooth and malty. A slight hop bite on the finish. Reminds me a lot of southern pecan.
M: medium with medium, frothy carbonation.
O: Very impressed with Good People. Especially this Brown. A very sessionable ale with rich full taste that's easy going down.

Thanx to zookerman182
Into a mug (also previously had in a pint glass, not much difference):
A: slightly dark brown colored body with a slim one finger white foamy head that dies within about a minute, some nice foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass in a clingy sort of fashion
S: nutty, malty, slight caramel all combined nicely and coming forth strong and sweet
T: mainly nutty and sweet; slightly nutty/caramel malty aftertaste and a dry sort of nutty finish
M: light to medium, sessionable for the most part as an English Brown, carbonation is extremely smooth
O: everything about this tells me this is a well done English Brown ale by an American brewery. Well done Good People, its been a fairly long time since I've had this style done this well by an American brewery, I very much would have this again

Good People Brewing Company's Brown ale is a perfect example of craft brewing. Although this craft brew is located in a beautiful state, which has laws against home brewing, Good People Brewing Company's Brown ale brings home a great tradition is brewing, that is taste. This beer would have to be in the top five greatest tasting Brown ales. The rich, creamy, inviting, and masterful taste of this brew can be described in dreams of all brown ale or nut brown lovers. But with everything there are always some draw backs. The appearance and smell are nothing out of the ordinary and one can see they might have not been thought of in the brewing process. If you can get past the look of this brew, then you are in for a wonderful tasty treat. Then again, the only place to enjoy this brew is in upper Alabama and if your a football fan, nothing is better when watching football, RTR!
