Poured from a 12 ounce can into NB globe glass.

A: Dark and murky brown. Two fingers of off-white head that dissipates slowly leaving a slight lacing.

S: Black cherry, malt, grassy grains, and molasses.

T: Sweet maple syrup, chocolate, and nuttiness, some mild hop bitterness but mostly malts.

M: Medium bodied, slick and frothy, light carbonation.

O: Overall a good brown ale, hope they start distributing to Nashville soon.

Served in a Good People shaker pint because I can, this is on the Top Beers - South list so that's sort of exciting.

Beer is brown and mostly clear, a little darker than expected, walnut, this tan head, low retention, no lacing, low carbonation.

Aroma is nutty, mildly roasty, a little malt.

Beer is medium in body, mildly sweet up front with a nice, mildly bitter finish, bitterness is all grain, no hops. A decent little brown, I might have it again.

a - poured a one finger light tan head into an english pub glasss that left good sheeting and lacing throughout. the body was a bright brown with red tints.
s - nutty, chocolate, caramel, bread with a hint of hop bite.
t - bready and caramel with a more hop punch than the aroma.
m - medium thickness and slick, carbonation level is dialed in now.
o - great beer and one of my favorite browns.

My very first secreat santa gift from 2011- 12 oz can split with my boyfriend. Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass

A- Body is a nicely translucent light brown hue. Pours with a massive 3 finger or so foamy head. Head fades to 1/2 finger but retains perfectly from there.

S- Hoppy, lots of earthy hops, with a nice sweet caramel malt backbone. A good dose of floral hops is there too.

T- Flavor is very similar to the nose. Slight citus and some floral with a smooth malt background. And a mild bitterness lingers.

M- Medium carbonation and a nice full oily hop body.

O- Overall this is a great brown ale. It is atypical for the style and has a very nice malt hop balance. A very good local to try!

Another fine Southern treat from unclejedi; this arrives in a 12 oz. can (no date) and gets poured to a standard pint glass.

'Legally Brewed Since 2008'. Label shows some faux weathering; thought my can was old and abused before a closer look reveals that those 'scuffs' are just part of the design.

A: Very 'light' for a 'brown ale' - I've seen ambers/reds with darker coloring. This is a ruddy caramel, pretty foggy clarity-wise. Pretty well-structured carbonation; some streams steady and regular, others more lazy and meandering. Makes me think of The Matrix. Healthy head, over a finger of khaki froth... but not long-lasting. Stripes of foam try admirably to hold to the glass. So what if it's a paler shade of 'brown'? - it's nice-looking otherwise.

S: Hmmm... really not much here. I let the can sit 15 minutes out of the fridge and waited another 5 minutes after the pour to take an initial sniff and... well... it's vaguely malty, nutty. A tiny cocoa sweetness, waning spice and jammy fruit. Just not much else. Not bad, just so weak.

T: Earthy, crusty bread, dark and nutty. A funn(k)y yeast that has a vague tanginess - not the 'tinniness' that sometimes comes with the style, more like 'vinous tart'. That tang makes this a little different and memorable, lending some citrus rind and a little sour grape. Enough caramel and cereal grain otherwise - a bolder and pretty balanced version of the style.

M: Light-medium body, a good carbonation prickle. A fair amount of bitterness in the finish, both from latent hops and dark/dry maltiness.

O: Pretty tasty, but falls short in aroma and (somewhat) in appearance. It's nice to have a canned brown ale (a style I've had plenty over the years, but not one I turn to much of late). Worth a try.

A: Huge, light beige foamy head. Bright amber, lots of bubbles.

S: Nutty and malty. Grainy. Alright, but nothing spectacular.

T: Lots of grains, nutty malts. Not much to say.

M: Kind of flat, actually. Thinish, disappointing.

O: It's ok, but it's very meh to me. I like it better on tap, but it's not my favorite Good People beer.
