Light copper in color. A mid-hoped IPA that doesn't assault the taste buds. Very smooth, very drinkable. A very good find. Had it canned in Birmingham.

It poured a nice reddish orange with an decent head that also looked to have a bit of orange in it. The aroma has the faint smell of orange with yeasty bread and pine notes. The orange citrus is present in the taste as well as some malt sweetness and piney bitter hops. The bitterness is biting and lingers. Not a bad beer but I feel that the hops and citrus are a bit out of balance with the hops being a bit overpowering. Still a well done and tasty brew.

The color is a nice orange amber. The nose has a fruity piney resiny nose. The body has a biscuity bready sweetness with some nice pine bitterness. Solid.

I finally got a crack at this beer after my friends from TN and AL have been bragging on this beer for months. You would have thought this was the best thing since sliced bread. Did it live up to the hype? Drumroll, please.

Copper reddish color. Thick, creamy, chunky head. Lacing. Oh the lacing!

Smells dreamy. Malty, pine, yeast, fruits. Everything quite balanced.

Tastes like it smells. So no surprises. But that wasn't a bad thing. In fact, it was good. Very good.

Feel was darn near perfect for an American IPA. Medium bodied.

Overall, yes, it lived up to the hype. It was a very good experience. An outstanding beer.

Poured from 12 oz can dated 7/16/2015.

A: Pours golden honey brown with generous 2-3 finger fluffy white head. Lasting retention and leaves some chunky lacing.

S: Biscuit malts with floral and piney hops. Some light citrus lingering around.

T: Follows then nose. Pleasant floral hops mixed with biscuit malts and a fairly nice balance between the two. More pronounced citrus would be welcome here.

M: Medium body and average carbonation. Easy drinking and refreshing.

O: Solid basic IPA. Nothing fancy or outstanding, but still a nice beer.

Had this on tap in Nashville. I found it to be fairly well balanced with a bit of woody hops. This drank fairly easy with a so-so nose. I wouldn't say no to another one, but wouldn't seek it out

Pours a thick tan head that dissapates into a sticky resin in the glass, a beautiful amber/ruby color. Smells hoppy, piney, a hinty of citrus, a freshly mowed lawn. Taste is identical to smell, flavors and aromas meld perfectly eith this beer, hitting the same notes on the nostrils to create a wonderful sensasion. Not as pitter and a tad less pronounced as my go to ipas Langunitas produces and not as good as good people dipa snake handler. But still a solid ipa and a good go to when im in the mood for a milder ipa.

12 oz. can

Pours a honey amber orange, hazy with some particulate yeast in suspension. Head is off-white, coarse, and pillowy at two inches, dissipates very slowly to an eventually lacing.

Smells of honey and biscuit malts with fresh piney and floral hops. The hops are bright and spicy with hints of cumin.

Tastes of dry biscuit malt, a bit papery, with dry piney and vegetal bitter hops.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the tongue.

Decent IPA, pours beautifully and smells wonderful. The flavor disappoints a bit as it is on the boring side and a bit imbalanced towards bitterness over hop flavor. Other than that, it's actually pretty good. Worth trying.

L - Golden orange with a fluffy white head.
S - Malty with a slight hop character
T- Sweet malt with a slight hop backbone and a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the finish.
M - Full and creamy. Very nice.

Overall - A solid East coast ipa that is well balanced.

Poured into a mason jar from a can.

It's not terrible, but not great. It's hoppy but without the good flavor of better IPAs. Not smooth but not really harsh either. I wouldn't but this again but really because there are many better options.

12 oz can poured into snifter canned on 6/18

A: dark ruby and amber color light inch or so soapy bubbly head the drops down to just a residue

S: resiny and floral with a good bit of maltiness to it

T: just a fleeting hint of grapefruit and then floral and very malty

M: medium to lighter side a little bit of residual bitterness around the edges of the tongue

O: Too malty, they need to dial up the hops and down the malt, I thought I had this on tap once and it was very fruity I'm not getting much of that now. More of the floral hops shine through.

Nice orange pour with a good head. Piney and citrus smell. Good and bitter all the way through. Very simple. Nice for what it is. A solid drinking IPA.

Took 2 runs at this one as the taste buds were not fair with my first try. I like this IPA a lot but not my fave. Nice fruity aroma, piney, citrusy as expected and a good solid finish aftertaste. Package tag was dated 5/14/15 so according to what I research they use canning date so very fresh drinking it on 5/24/15 bought at Publix in Auburn.

12 ounce can poured into a snifter.

A- Cloudy orange/amber liquid. Huge frothy pale white head. Extensive lacing. 4.5

S- Smells melony, of pineapple, and a bit of catpiss. Nice but for the catpiss. 4

T- Nose is better, but this taste ain't bad. Touches of pineapple, grapefruit and orange match with biscuity malt. There's a light caramel malt flavor too. 3.75

M- Medium-bodied, zesty, moderately bitter and also has a pronounced malt toastiness. Doesn't drink quite as smooth as desired due to some yeastiness and carbonation, but it's still good to drink. 3.5

A nice brew. I get down.

Orange/copper color, nice two-finger head with good retention and lacing. Aroma was piney up front, with some nice citrus and pineapple notes, with a sweet malt smell in the background. The flavor was similar to the smell, with the pineapple most prominent. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and very smooth, easy to drink a lot of these. Overall, nice beer from a good up and coming brewery, can't wait to try their Snake Handler DIPA>

Solid canned IPA from Good People. Herbal pine and grapefruit aroma. Smooth citrus fruity bitterness that turns a little earthy in the finish. It's clean and drinkable for the strength. I'd have another.

The nose is very green with a slight citrus.

It’s green on the front with that piney, grassy presence and a nice grapefruit/citrus mix in there as well to give it just a slight sweetness under all that green forwardness. The malty balance brings a dryness but you still get the full force of the hops on the backside. It's not an overly bitter finish, but it's there with the malts.

Mouthfeel is light to medium. Very smooth to drink.

Overall I really like this IPA, I feel it's one of the better IPAs from Alabama breweries. It leans to the green side of IPAs, which I prefer.

Appearance - Poured into a snifter to reveal a hazy, golden brew with an off-white 2 finger head sitting atop. Fair retention, giving way to a thin, broken layer of surface suds. Lacing clings to the sides in rings and chunks, and exhibits strong stick.

Smell - Distinct aroma that hits on pineapple juice, floral and citrus hop notes and a caramel malt base.

Taste - More reserved in the flavor than what's found on the nose. Not much in the way of bitterness, instead opting for slightly sweet, juicy notes of orange and pineapple. Light caramel malt body. Finish is much the same.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate, slightly tingly carbonation. Smooth, easy drinking brew. Semi-dry finish.

Overall - Solid IPA. Nice flavor profile, but seems to lack that extra umph to take it that next level. Safe might be a good description. I could definitely stand to drink this again, but I wouldn't trade for it.

Superior head and lace (a blanket on the glass). Orange amber color and cloudy.

Starts with a floral hop nose.

Good malt/hop blend flavor. Rich body with a diminished carbonation. Long aftertaste with a peppery hop.

got this on a trade . never heard of this brewery ,not available in my area. I really enjoyed there coffee oatmeal stout and this IPA is good as well .
A. nice looking beer poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. nice color started out looking deep orange but ended up golden in the bottom of the glass and more orange at the top .
S. more citrus and west coast sent . not a lot of pine but smells like an IPA for sure!
T. not bad but nothing blowing me away , good solid IPA but would not crave or search this out .
M. medium mouth fee, very nice . a little bit a stickiness on my lips will have to up my score for this reason. more of a double IPA mouth feel impressive .
O. not a bad IPA but be aware I just finished a Pumking so my palate is a bit tainted . Nothing bad at all to say about this beer and as I mentioned I had the Coffee stout and really liked it . would not mind trying more from the Good People.

Pours golden with an orange hue and a nice fluffy cream colored head. Aroma is spicy, some orange zest, and some bread. Flavor has the spiciness and lively orange zest from the hops take more of the limelight but some bready malts are definitely still there. A crisp, active mouthfeel. Overall, a very nice IPA. Would happily drink again.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass. My first Alabama beer!

Appearance: medium orange hue with a light haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is a thick finger of frothy ivory foam. Pretty good!

Smell: dank and resiny hops with a little bit of a floral character. Not bad, I guess.

Taste: similar to the aroma; hops are kind of dank in character. Reminds me of a wet-hopped ale. Not terrible, but not really to my taste.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess for the style.

Overall: a relatively easy-drinkin' beer, but one whose hop character doesn't strongly appeal to me.

Appearance; color is a cloudy amber, pours a finger of head that has average retention.

Smell- Aroma is somewhat generic. Upfront is resin, pine and mild citrus, light alcohol and caramel

Taste- hop oils, pine like earthiness, malty caramel, grapefruit juice.

Mouthfeel- full body, medium carbonation, starts very juicy and finishes dry

Overall- not a disappointment but not exciting, A decent IPA, but that area is a competitive one and this one doesn't exactly shine, still well worth trying.

Can from burg. Thanks for the Bama tick! Pours hazy copper colored with a one finger white head. Aroma is orange peel, mango, grapefruit, big caramel malts. Flavor is lots of orange notes, some bitter grapefruit finish, big bready malts. Hops seem a little stale here. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Below average IPA.

No freshness date, poured into a pint

A- pours a clear golden-orange color with a small foamy and creamy white head that retains nicely

S- nice mix of citrusy orange peel and piney hops with some leafy and minty aromas. Sweet candy-like malt aroma with some bready notes to close it out

T- citrusy hops follow the aroma with flavors of orange peel and grapefruit juice, leafy and grassy notes, candy-like sweetness with some sweet toasted bread malt. The finish gives some piney notes with a nice bitter linger

M- medium body with medium prickly carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and finish

O- very good IPA that showcases some nice citrusy notes, well balanced malt allows the hops to shine
