Can from a $10 6-pack bought at Hop City, Birmingham. 6/20 canning date.

A: Pours on the ruddy, red end of IPA, like Celebration or Zoe. Very good head and lacing. Looks unfiltered, with a decent amount of visible carbonation.

S: Assertive pine and a nice burst of citrus fruit. Light melon.

T: Nicely pine-forward with enough juiciness to satisfy those partial to the West Coast style.

A straightforwardly solid American IPA with complexity, character, and definition to its flavor. Easily better than any local IPA in Louisiana. Feels underrated by BA; would and will certainly buy again.

Sampled from a 12oz can in a tulip pint glass. Thanks surge1311!

A - Golden with a slight haze and a firm off-white head. Loads of lacing.

S - Nice floral, citrusy and piney notes. Not powerful but pleasant.

T - A nice citrusy bitterness from start to finish. Lingers nicely! Some pine mixed in and enough malt to carry the hops.

M - A slight creaminess and a moderate carbonation.

O - A solid, easy drinking and enjoyable IPA. I made several trips to Birmingham back in the 90s and the beer scene was very limited. It's nice to see that's changing.

Appearance: Pours from the its aluminum container a delicately hazed, golden-orange body with a sizable, whitish, sudsy head.

Smell: Pale malts, with middling bready, grainy characteristics and a sweet-scented element to it a bit like caramel or toffee. Lightly floral, adequately citrusy hops, with some grassy hints to it all.

Taste: Bready pale malts, somewhat grainy in taste, with a caramelized sugar sweetness. Floral, lightly grassy, citrusy hops (lemon, orange) with a moderate degree of bitterness delivered.

Mouthfeel: This one falls just shy of medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: Not bad. It has some nice flavors and an easy-going body to keep things mobile.
