I gotta say, this is my go-to cool/rainy weather beer. We recently had some rather crappy weather come through here (understatement of the century) and it was nice to tuck into one of these beauties at the J.Clyde for some comfort and safety.
Nice, deep and dark brown, almost black. But it has a little redness scattered throughout (like a good dark roast coffee). About a finger of mocha head rested nicely on top and hung around for a bit. Not much lacing.
Love this smell. Rich aroma of the coffee. They use a local roaster and it shows. This is quality coffee, and a great aroma. A little sweetness of chocolate, but mostly coffee.
Coffee is again the first thing that jumps out. Just when you think the coffee is going to overpower it all, the bittersweet chocolate and roastiness of the oatmeal stout comes through.
The oatmeal makes it smooth and milky. This is definitely not a light beer. Full-bodied and rich.
A great beer. Good for all seasons but really shines when the weather turns to crap.

No canning date, poured into a snifter
A- pours a pitch black color with a small khaki colored creamy and foamy head that eventually reduces to a thick ring around the edge
S- chocolaty malt with some smokey notes, fresh coffee, oats, fig & raisin
T- big dark chocolate bitter-sweet flavors up front with a dose of creamy espresso quickly following. Light smoky malt mixes with creamy oats, with a hint of caramel and dark fruits. The finish gives some herbal hop notes with more espresso at the close
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a big foamy mouthfeel with a smooth and creamy, dry finish
O- nice coffee notes and super drinkable from the oat smoothness, very good
