Had on draft many times at the J Clyde. Not much I can say about this, as it is yet another one of Good People's beautifully crafted beers - if you like the Belgian Pale Ale style, you know what you are in for, and if you like Good People you already know this is a superb beer well worth drinking!

I had Good People's Belgian Pale Ale on Cask at the J Clyde in Birmingham. This beer is also available on draft at a few other locations around the area and I believe is seasonal offering. I guess if it sells well it could become a year round beer. It is golden and little hazy. Carbonation is medium to low(due to the cask conditioning) and the smell is typical belgian yeast and hops. The taste is a solid belgian pale ale. Mouthfeel is excellent b/c of the cask conditioning and I have not had the draft version. This a another solid beer by Good People and it is great to see them continue to experiment.

Had a pint of this served up to me at 5 Points Grill during brunch before the beerfest. It was a nice way to kick off the day of drinking. It was served up in your standard, typical shaker pint glass.

A: This one hit the table as a pretty nice, and slightly dark golden yellows. Held to the sun, more of a typical golden brown comes out with just a hint of white to it in the body. The body does have just a touch of haze to it, but it is enough to keep you from seeing clearly all the way through. It is in fact a nice look and effect. The head that was served up was about a finger of rocky white head, that had somewhat of a creaminess to it. Head had pretty decent retention and added some real nice lace to the glass, notching it all the way down. Quite nice and what is truly expected from a Belgian Pale, in my opinion.

S: Smell is pretty nice with some nice aromatic qualities. Getting your standard fare of Belgian yeast starting things off with just a touch of earthiness and fruitiness. Getting just a touch of apple coming through. The hops do come out nicely in the aroma, with some nice floral and earthy tones. Its pretty standard, but it comes out beautifully in the glass and is oh so appetizing. Almost everything is perfectly in place even if it is standard. Very nice indeed.

T: Taste is not much unlike the aroma, pretty standard but very enjoyable with pronounced flavors easily pushing forth. Yet again the first thing that hits you is that lightly sweet and hearty Belgian yeast. Just a touch of apple coming through. The hops do push through again with a nice floral sweetness and earthiness. Just a slight bitterness on the back end along with a nice hint of clove.

M: Medium bodied for sure. Carbonation has some nice oomph to it at a very nice medium. The crispness is nice and really helps in making this beer nicely refreshing. ABV must be light since it was around before the ABV cap was lifted, and it shows. The ABV is light on the palate and really doesn't show. Aftertaste is mostly a light and slightly biting hops.

D: Yet another fine beer from Good People. I am really getting excited about the future of this brewery. All of the beers of theirs I have had thus far have been great to amazing, and this beer in no different. Very drinkable and easy going down. I finished the glass much quicker than I expected and that was very pleasing. Turned out to be a perfect beer to have with brunch on a warm day at an outdoor cafe. Really hit the spot and I look forward to having many more brews from Good People. Send some kegs to J'ville!!!
