Poured from 12 oz can dated 4/13/2015 into snifter.

A: Slightly hazy pale lemon yellow with 2-3 finger soapy white head. Nice retention but left relatively little lacing.

S: Light cracker malts, and lemon peel. Subtle yeast eaters.

T: Pale wheat malts and light lemon notes.

M: Medium body with light crisp finish.

O: As an easy drinking summertime brew, this one works just fine.

Had this again out of the can, and wow, what a phenomenal beer. It's easy drinking, yet tasty enough to enjoy. I'll be buying this a lot this summer.

served on-tap @ Alcove, Tuscaloosa, AL, into a mason jar

Pours a hazy yellow color. It practically glows neon when sunlight hits the glass. 1.5 fingers of fine white head sits on top of this pour. Looks nice.

My initial impression of the nose is that it smells much hoppier than the average American Pale Wheat. There's a bitter, herbal aroma here, as well as more of a lemony citrus tone. It came across like a Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat only with more bittering hops. But as the beer warmed up a bit it became evident that there was a plastic aroma that was providing a lot of the bitter, astringent quality. I don't know if Good People uses a Belgian yeast strain in this beer, but that's about the only way I can figure that there'd be a heavy plastic element to the aroma. Unless it's a problem with the taplines.

That plastic component is definitely there on the palate. It's not the strongest flavor here. There's a significant amount of wheat breadiness to this beer, backed up by a very subtle tartness on the midpalate. There's a fair amount of green hops and lemon essence too. The finish is very bready, but also very much like a PVC pipe. That plastic flavor lingers the longest.

The body here is pretty full for the style, more prickly with bubbles than smooth. It's refreshing and it makes sense to me with the bready flavor profile. Overall, this is not among my favorite wheat beers. If the plastic flavor is from the taplines and not the yeast strain, then I will revisit this review.

A good sessionable wheat beer. Perfect for a footbal game which hey Im watching. Very clear appearance pale gold. There is a little more bitterness from the hops in this wheat. Pretty smooth with a medium mouth feel. Not overly complex just a nice wheat beer. Perfect for summer. Good job from the people at Good people.

Poured into a pint glass in the GP taproom. Soft yellow pour with a fizzy white head with poor retention. Smells of dry wheat, light citrus notes and a bit hoppy. Tastes of sour fruits, dairy, and bread. A decent brew from a highly underrated brewery. This is my least favorite beer by them so far.

Growler from Hop City, shared a few days later at the Weiss Trash Culture release at NEBCO.

A: Clear gold body with a finger of white head. Spotty lace. Ok.

S: Predominantly bready, with some light citrus, and a touch of herbal hops. Subdued.

T: Better here, with some tart wheat and citrus up front, followed by more solid breadiness midway through. Clean, spicy finish. Refreshing and tasty.

M: Light and lively. Great for the style.

O: The growler board listed this as a Witbier, so when I wasn't getting any real yeastiness I was disappointed. Once I realized that my style expectations were off, I became considerably more fond of it. Still not a terribly memorable beer, but an effective, refreshing summer seasonal.

Cheers!

Appearance: Server up a lightly hazed, pale yellow body with a thin coating of white head. Good lacing.

Smell: Ultra soft malt, a bit of wheat, a whisper of basic lemon. It's a wheat ale, alright!

Taste: Particularly pale wheat character with just a little bit of sweetness. Light lemon, very low bitterness. Drying, faintly lemony finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: As a light, refreshing, quaffable beer it works.

a - poured a two-fingers thick white head into a pint glass that left great lacing and sheeting throughout that billows nicely. the body was a bright, slightly hazy straw gold color.
s - citrus hops with a hint of breadiness.
t - same as above with a really nice and refreshing tartness underneath.
m - spot on carbonation and becomes more creamy as it warms.
o - terrific session beer that goes down easily. damn good summer beer.
