I tried a 12 oz. bottle of this beer tonight at Mojo's BBQ on University Blvd tonight with pulled pork and fries.
A: Pours a nice brown ale color, 1" head or so with quick dissipating lacing.
S: Smells of pine hops and rich malts.
T: Medium bodied and delicious. Buckwheat, anise and caramel notes. Well balanced.
M: Not alcoholic, a little watery for a brown ale. Mildly carbonated.
D: Drinks easy with a dry finish. Easy to drink 3-4 of these no problem.

Pours a murky brown with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, nut, and slight cocoa aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, nut, and slight cocoa flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty but has a slightly subdued smell.
