Surprised to see an English ipa on tap in Asheville, but I’m here for it.
White head with lace. Slightly cloudy orange hued gold.
Bready/biscuit malts, floral, grassy hops. Little bit of citrus. Malty, but hoppy. Excellent English ipa combo. Has a silky smooth, almost cask like feel. Reminds me of Town Halls English ales. Well done.

Drinking this at The Wedge Brewery in The Art District of Asheville NC.
Poured from a tap into a plastic cup.
Appears orange with a slightly off white head that dropped quickly to a thin cap.
Smells citrusy, lightly malty
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is medium light for the style.
Overall a nice IPA that I would definitely order again.

Sampling cold 16 oz can poured into a snifter. A gift my mom picked up during a recent visit to Asheville. Thanks! My can says 7.0% not the 6.2% listed here. Maybe a new recipe?
The beer pours a bright copper hue with large white globs of sediment suspended in the beer and then settling to the bottom of my glass. A very minimal bleached white head foams up and fades to a sturdy edge layer with a large wispy island in the center. Some lazy streams of carbonation rise to the surface.
The aroma is some sweet caramel and bready notes but then this rolls to some pithy citrus rind and pine sap hits. Not a huge aroma but some complexity which makes it interesting.
The first sip reveals a smooth and crisp textured body with mild carbonation that gently rolls across my palate.
Flavor is similar to the nose with a bit of caramel and sweet malt up front that rolls to some rindy grapefruit and a bit of grassy hop character. This grassiness lingers for a bit after the swallow with a bit of bitterness, but I dont get any alcohol burn or black pepper. The beer is pretty drinkable and balanced, but I think it could use a little more hops on the nose for a boost of my ratings. Still solid, but could be better IMO.
