Picked up a growler at the brewery during our weekend in Asheville. Wedge is always one of our favorite haunts in Asheville

A - A cloudy reddish orange, with lots of head and lace retention. Beautiful. This is what an IPA should look like!

S - Spicy and hoppy. Bitter piny hops present

T - Big hoppy flavor with a huge sweet malty backbone. Piny hops dominate. A touch of citrus as well. Bitter, but not too much. Very well balanced. Love it

M - Medium bodied, and goes down the hatchett just right

O - An amazing IPA, no doubt. I wish they would bottle it so I can bring alot of it back to Atlanta. If you are in Asheville, got to check out Wedge. Always a good time!

S - light pear with citrus, bread

T -Fruitisweet bread with an intense earthy/herbal hop that lingers, peppery.

M - medium bodied with good carbonation

O - Very good beer. There are so many good IPAs out there. This one is unique and highly drinkable, The peppery/hoppy flavor really is a treat for hop heads. I recommend this beer and brewery!

Thanks to jtd1969 for bringing me a growler back from his travels.

A - dark hazy orange with a thick, pure white, foamy head that has great retention

S - faint bread, faint cake batter, grapefruit, very faint spicyness

T - opens with some sweet malt and then is completely dominated by big, piney, resinous, incredibly bitter hops; there is also some faint citrus throughout; the bitterness from the hops lingers on the palate for what seems like forever

M - medium bodied, well carbonated, a very warm alcohol finish

This is a nice IPA. It's intensely hoppy with the Cascade hops really making their presence known. The piney, bitter hop character reminded me briefly of SN Celebration. The malt is sweet which I like and does its best to lend balance. I really enjoyed this, and I think any hop head that finds themselves in Asheville needs to stop into Wedge and try this one.

Bought a Growler of this from The Wedge Brewing Co in Asheville, NC for $15 (Growler included). Tapped from one of the Bright Handles w/ "WEDGE" on it into the Growler with Neon Blue Writing on it. Shared w/ CurtisMcArthur and other BA friends from Nashville, TN.

Aroma- A surprisingly strong malty and sweet aroma hits the nose before the hops... Hops are in the background here but not dominant.

Appearance- Pours a 2 finger head that has nice head life. Has a dark orange colored body with semi-haziness. Leaves good lacing behind.

Flavor- Has tons of hop and sweetness from the beginning of the drink. Whew, not at all like the Malt dominant aroma! Stays hoppy throughout the drink and finishes with a medium bitterness level.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth, and finishes with a nice citric flavor.

Overall Impression- A great American IPA minus the aroma. For some reason, the sweetness of the malt came out strong but not in the flavor. Would DEFINITELY recommend this one and if your @ the Wedge, I would suggest drinking others on-tap and then taking this one to go in a Growler (its the only option in Growler anyways). Thanks again for the great brews Wedge Brewing!

A: Pours a nice copper color with a large white head that dissipates slowly and leaves behind a good amount of lacing.

S: Citrusy hops up front with some grapefruit and tangerine coming out immediately.  Caramel malt and some vanilla provide a bit of a sweetness.  A pretty good malty backbone adds a bit of complexity and a nice feel.

T: Follows the aroma very well.  Citrusy up front with grapefruit, tangerine, and some apricot.  Really nice, yet subtle, sweetness provided by the caramel malts.  Just a touch of some earthiness on the back end that is very pleasant.

M: Medium bodied with a pretty good bit of carbonation.  Smooth and tingly on the palate.  Great drying effect after each sip.

D: Very nice little IPA.  Goes down easily, nice complexity, and nice balance.  I had no experience with Wedge before today, and they impressed with all three beers I tried from them.

Really enjoyed this off tap. Not much to look at but has a great taste. Aroma is of citrus and flower and the taste follows. Mouthfeel is hard to quantify.

Overall a very solid IPA which I will seek out whenever I'm in town.

Will be picking up a growler before I head out.

On-tap at the brewery.

A: Bright orange, bubbly, small white head that laces nicely.

S: Lots of citrus hops, a biscuity malt layer underneath. Straight forward.

T: Heavy citrus here, orange, grapefruit, lemon, maybe even some pineapple. Big malty backbone keeps it from getting too bitter, and makes it easy to drink. Some pine in the finish.

M: Very smooth and creamy. Highly drinkable in this nature.

D: I'm impressed. Easy to put back (and you don't pay too much a price at 6.2%) and well balanced.
