I had perfect directions to the Wedge, and still passed it up OVER and OVER! From the street, you can't see it because you have to the stairs that lead to the Brewpub and the French Broad River. The first area of the brewpub you come cross is a brass/metal wall of all sorts of odds and ends (pipes, screws, wires, bolts, screens, etc.) that are "purposely" fit together to create an extra patio. You can definitely tell it was made to be in the Art District here! Keep walking and you find a Food Truck off to the side with a variety of options. I didn't have the chance since lines were so long to enter the brewpub and get your brew inside. A group of people were playing "Corn Hole" on the side of the place and you don't see this much.
Stairs lead to the inside of the brewpub where peanuts are available and a Igloo Cooler of water. The Chalkboard of brews available was easy to view from the counter also. Only three bartenders were working that day (with the owner running back and forth helping out b/c of the business this Friday). All were very friendly and worked hard! Appreciated their samples also before enjoying two of their beers. They also kept my Growler of Iron Rail in the fridge for when I was ready to leave.
They had their 6 beers on-tap [Golem, Iron Rail, Abbey Ale, Russian Imperial Stout, Porter, and Pilsner (can't remember names for these two)]. Great selection! Wish I was able to take home the Abbey Ale in my growler, but the Iron Rail was awesome!
Now I can see why this is the "best kept secret in Asheville" (words from a local)! Fun community of people, great beer, and a fun environment! Check it out if you have a chance and/or by the Blue Ridge Parkway or Pisgah Forest.

This place rules. The bar area itself is not big at all, but when you add in all the outdoor seating, huge gaming areas in the parking lot, and space for the food trucks, this establishment has quite the spread. There were 9 beers on-tap during my visit, and there are growlers available for beer to go. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, and they sure were busy. On a Thursday evening, they were out straight, because the place was absolutely packed. There is a ton to do outside, including cornhole and other bar games, and there were a couple food trucks parked out there, as well. You really can settle in for the night here, with plenty to do for just about any type of person.
