The Blue Wind is a great place to pick up a tasty sandwich and a brew. I've eaten here a few times now with friends and colleagues, and with your food, you can purchase single beers from their cooler. They also sell wine, which along with the food, is the main focus of the establishment. (They do have one of the more fabulous wine selections for the area -- but this isn't about wine! Onward...)
They do have a decent beer selection including DFH, Troegs, Weyerbach to a decent selection of imports. My last visit included a purchase of a sandwich to go and a sixer of Troegs Hopback Amber. Mind you, the six-pack was $12.99 plus tax. I consider that a bit steep for said six pack. Of course, my crab cake sandwich was delish.
Overall the selection and quality is decent. The service is a bit on the pretentious side, but is to be expected considered the wine snobbery on the other side of the store. (No disrespect, as I love good wine, too).
Check them out if you want a single beer and some good food. Not a bad option for picking up something to take home. However, there are a few other options for stocking your fridge in the area.

While visiting Maryland I drove down to visit this store. I was blown away by the fantastic smell of the food there, really wish I hadn't just ate down the street.
Decent beer selection in a small room off to the right, reading other reviews I saw they had FFF, not anymore I guess. They did have DFH's Fort, WWS, 120, Tröegs, Firestone Walker, and several other breweries. Decent import selection also.
Was priced a little higher than the store over in Soloman but not too bad, Fort, WWS, & 120 were $38...I guess that's "ok" for 3 bottles of beer...lol

Oh my, I wish I never moved away from southern MD, because of this place. FL has nothing compared. They have great food, good wine, and a large selection of craft beers. Notable breweries include: Victory, Three Floyds, smuttynose, DFH, Rouge, Troegs, and tons others. Their little room in on the side was quite stocked all the time I remember. I haven't been there in awhile since I moved. I miss that place.
The staff is friendly and they know about beer. I used to stop there every other day on my way home from the navy base. There's another good place in solomons just over the bridge that has some good crafts in the back. It's next to the west marine. I forget the name.

This is one of only a handful of places to find a quality selection in Southern Maryland. You'll find very little BMC here, and lately they've been bringing in so many new craft beers that they don't have enough shelf space and have to leave the open cases in the aisles.
The only place to find Nøgne Ø and Great Divide in the area. They have a wide selection of Rogue and Stone bombers. They always try to get in new bombers from Southern Tier as well, and sometimes they are the only place to find their sought after big beers when even DC stores are sold out.
Their Belgian selection is ok but could use some expansion. They've got the Chimays, and Douchesse, and some La Chouffe among others, but no good lambics (Lindemans only).
They have a cooler with assorted singles that can be drank on premises but they are priced for on site consumption, not for mixing sixers. The food here is very good and specials run every day. Additionally they have a wide wine and liquor selection and do tastings every day.
The staff is usually very helpful and the guy who orders the beer is always receptive when I ask for special requests. He's let me paw through the distributor catalog to see what is available.
Parking can be a problem, but is available across the street in the vacant lot for overflow, and on the street for a last resort.
Everything in this place is a little pricey and the beer is no exception, but for a one stop place that will fill a lot of your desires, the premium is worth it.
