12 ounce bottle poured into a snifter. 2008 vintage. Comes in at 11%.
A-Pours a hazy, muddy brown with no head. Looks flat with a miniscule off white ring clinging to the glass. Tad bit of lace remains.
S-Citrus hops, predominantly orange, along with rum notes. Smells very much like a rum and orange juice fruit drink you would be served while sitting poolside in the tropics. Also a very yeasty smell comes out.
T-Honey, orange, yeastiness, a tad bit of alcohol. Sweet malt hits at the end. Pilsner malt definitely pops out and as it warms the citrus notes get sronger.
M-Very flat and is on the heaveir side of the body spectrum. Very sticky.
D-11% is very well hidden. Needs some more carbonation. Definitely one to sip and let slowly warm.
An interesting take on the style. This is one I would like to revisit with some age. Not too bad being priced at $4.49 for the bottle.
