Dark brown to deep reddish golden-brown at the rim, great color. Bare smidgen of froth.
Smells deeply complex and alluring. Old bourbon barrel, molasses, brown sugar, prunes, raisins.
Tastes how it smells, delicious, sweet but not overly sweet at all, once my palate adjusts it's just right. Big dose of bourbon barrel, but very well integrated, and it tastes like the barrel, not just the bourbon. That long time in the barrel really paid off.
Full bodied. Great beer, complex, balanced, and delicious.

A - Dark ruddy brown with unshakeable head of fine cream foam.
S - Sweet bourbon predominates.
T - Treacle and bourbon, following the nose.
M - Sticky and syrupy.
O - Good but not ridiculously so. I'd be wary of trading a king's ransom for this.
