Another bottle opened during our bcbs vertical tasting. Thanks again, Matt (Exitmusic00)! This is one I've been wanting to try for a while. 2011 bottle.
A- Pours a murky dark brown with a thin off white head and no lacing. Not the prettiest girl at the prom.
S- Wet leather, a variety of dark fruits including plum, raisins, fig, red grapes, black cherry followed by oak, light smoke, burnt caramel, tobacco and a hint of coconut. Very complex.
T- Again leather is fairly prominent, with notes of tobacco, plumb, fig, black cherry, smoke, brown sugar, oak and coconut. Fairly sweet, but not overly so.
M- Low to medium carbonation with a syrupy body that finishes a touch dry.
O- Really complex and another great sipper from HotD. Would love to get another bottle and age it for a year or two.
