Served in a tulip. Rich copper color. Plenty of carbonation, and nice lacing on the glass. Lots of toasted malt. Sweet without being sickly, like caramelized apples in a pie. I'm not getting much hop bitterness, possibly because I've aged this quite a while. Delicious. Batch 71.

on tap at the brewery, Portland
Hazy deep gold with white film that’s steady and trails.
Sugar and orange peel nose.
Lots of sugar cookie, a bit of rye spice, fair whack of citrus, melon and kumquat.
Fruit punch finish and dry linger.
Medium, chewy, slight oil.
Very fruity for a golden ale. Rye is subtle, the hops are significant. A style bender in the best way.
