On tap at Lucky Baldwins Trappiste in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thick foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and some perfume-like aromas. Taste is much the same with an alcohol kick on the finish. There is a mild hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a one inch white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of grainy and bready malt, grassy noble hops and a touch of lemon. Flavor is bready malt with a little graininess, mild caramel, grassy hops; finishes with a little grain, mild sweetness and dry grassy hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A pleasant maibock with a bit of pilsner hop character, but still finishing slightly sweet as per style. The hops are clearly continental, subdued, but flavorful. Nice malty base. Easy drinking and reminiscent of German lagers while still having its own character.

2019 draft...
Bronze and brass, crystal clear with a gorgeous and unpretentious bone white foam.
Simple notes of toasted bread crusts and dried freshly mowed grass.
Flavor follows with a sweet and sugary white bread, the slightest touch of caramel, and an herbal dried grass finish.
Light and crisp with a bitter favoring over a rustic and simple sweetness. Very easy to drink.
A wonderful example of the style. Clean, simple, delicious, and easy to drink. Can't ask for much more for a Vienna style lager.
Cheers.

Draft at taproom. Soft and silky, tons of lacing. Pleasant, light malty aroma. Dances on the tongue. Grainy, heady, piquant and savory. A real treat for sure.

Tasting glass at the brew pub, hazy gold color with nice lacing. Sweet, bready aroma. Smooth, creamy, malty taste, sweet without being cloying. Nice on a cool fall day.
