Had on tap at Brouwers Big Wood Event. Review from notes.

A: The beer was a muddy brown with a small bubbly head on top that has no retention or lacing.

S: It has an aroma that immediately made me think of Adam, some deep dark fruit, a little molasses, leather, faint smoke, and chocolate.

T: Similar to the aroma, raisins, plums, and some apple. A bit of oak, smoke, molasses, and leather. Some bready flavor underneath.

M: Full bodied, rather thick. The 12% is hidden very nicely.

O: A really nice quad, could definitely taste the HotD part of the collaboration. (573 characters)

On tap at the tasting room the other day. At present, this beer is drinking amazingly well.

The beer pours a blackish brown color with decent head retention and failry light lacing. This has the look of a beer that has seen some serious barrel aging. On the nose, the bourbon barrel aroma is pronounced, and couples well with the fig, dates, dark fruits, vanilla and light chocolate aroma. The flavor profile replicates the nose very closely in this rich beer. Also, while it's fairly sweet, the beer doesn't come across as hot or cloying. Mouthfeel is fairly full, and alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile (though you can tell this is a big beer).

Absolutely delicious, An absolute treat, and a must buy purchase, whenever I'm at the tasting room. (774 characters)
