Batch 70. My namesake brew. Well, not really, but I AM Adam.
A - Into da snifta. Quite dark brown with a light tan head that doesn't dissapate very quickly at all. Ruby highlights, heavy lace.
S - Heavenly. It's making my mouth water. Dark malt madness, bourbon characteristics, dark fruits, fig newton, caramel, alcohol.
T - It's taken me over half the bottle to start typing here. There is a massive amount of smokey, roasted malt. Chocolate qualities. A balancing, dry, hop finish. Between those, I get alcohol, raisin/figs, and a yeast profile quite unlike anything I can put my finger on. Truly complex, and truly wonderful.
M - While it could manage to be a little thicker bodied, it's well-carbonated, and works.
D - This is a great beer. The drinkability is remarkable despite the abv, and it's... just a joy to consume. Don't overlook this.
Notes: This is the first beer to challenge my tastebuds in a long time. I've had this bottle quite a few months, and to imagine it aged for a few years is something I can dream of. I WILL go out of my way to get more of this.

Poured into a teku, dark brown and murky, with no head. Smell up front is smoke, a dark fruits, raisins, figs a hint of cherry skin. Getting a lot of smoke in the taste. It's a subdued smoke, not like a rauch or anything, but it's definitely there. Was not expecting it and it overshadows some of the other flavors. No carb issue here. As it warms, some of the dark fruit, caramel, burnt sugar flavor is coming out. Super complex. This might have gone over my head. Worth a try for sure. I'll try some with some age on it, see how that compares.
