From bottle to tumbler, just chilled. I got batch 88.
Looks a murky reddish brown. Or burgundy. There's a half-finger tan head that dissipates to a sheet.
It smells like maple, molasses, chocolate-covered raisins, and cherries. And vanilla. I like this.
The flavor is like the smell, but with stout-like, roasty chocolate character. Also an almost smoky, leathury finish which reminds me of a lot of oak-aged ales.
The feel is medium to thick.
I really dig the bold and complimentary flavors in this one.
