This place is what I thought it would be...I've heard great things about the new taproom and I was not dissapointed in the least. On my recent trip to PDX this is the one place I knew I didn't want to gome home without visiting. I've had many Hair of the Dog beers in the past and thought they were all the bees-knees. So we visited hair of the dog after a heavy night of pub crawling in PDX....cause you have to be hung over to visit a place called Hair of the Dog. This place is the ultimate beer snob brewery...they serve nothing that is even mediocre...everything here is top notch. I had an Adam beer which was excellent then a couple Blue Dot's the second was from a newly tapped keg and there was tons of hops floating around in the beer....was the best IPA i think I have ever had...I want to move to PDX because of this place!!

Vibe is great, food is average for Portland, beer selection in house is great but you can rarely get any good ale to go.

Service was average and not exceptionally friendly. Food (granted I only visited once) was poor. But the beer. Oh, the beer. One of my favorite breweries.

I go here regularly because there are few other places where the quality of the beer, food and service are all world class. Atmosphere is very cool and unique.

Beer: The regular taps are great, always 1 barrel aged beer available for a $9 glass. Adam, Fred are always available and they're always putting new experimental stuff on tap as well. The vintage menu is where it's really at! 2013 Matt is the best $18 you can spend in Portland on beer. 2002 Fred is amazing as well. If you're feeling very adventurous you can drop $50 on a 1994 Adam.

Food: Beef brisket. It's unreal and it will go great with a dark beer like Adam. The pastrami sandwich is another favorite.

Service: I've heard complaints from others on the service here but I tend to get the same couple servers who recognize my face and are incredibly friendly.
