This place is what I thought it would be...I've heard great things about the new taproom and I was not dissapointed in the least. On my recent trip to PDX this is the one place I knew I didn't want to gome home without visiting. I've had many Hair of the Dog beers in the past and thought they were all the bees-knees. So we visited hair of the dog after a heavy night of pub crawling in PDX....cause you have to be hung over to visit a place called Hair of the Dog. This place is the ultimate beer snob brewery...they serve nothing that is even mediocre...everything here is top notch. I had an Adam beer which was excellent then a couple Blue Dot's the second was from a newly tapped keg and there was tons of hops floating around in the beer....was the best IPA i think I have ever had...I want to move to PDX because of this place!! (836 characters)

My wife and I tried a sample of all of their beer on tap. I feel that all of their beer is well balanced and not one flavor overwhelmed the beer. Overall I would say this is a place worth visiting. (199 characters)

This place was everything I hoped it would be. Cool atmosphere, good service and great beer. My only minor complaint would be that a couple more options on tap would have been good, but HOTD isn't known for having a huge lineup of beer. Was very happy to find a barrel aged Adam variant. A MUST visit in PDX. (314 characters)

Good vibe, seems like any typical Portland microbrewery. Hipster crowd, old crowd, Rough crowd and everybody else. I tried Adam and White Peach Adam. Adam is a fantastic beer, I won't go into detail. White Peach Adam is on a whole different level of awesome! It's rediculous, the two bar tenders didn't seem very friendly. They should be aittle more engaging and crack a smile every now and then. I didn't try the food, but everyone around me swore by it. I'll be back. (470 characters)

We were in town for the Oregon Brewer's Festival, this was a must-stop on our list of breweries to hit - and they certainly didn't disappoint. My first time having Fred, Adam, Adam of the Wood - etc. A massive selection of brews to pick from including rarities of varying vintages. The food kicks ass too. The bartender was quick and helpful. Absolute blast. Wish this NC boy lived closer. (389 characters)

I visited Hair of the Dog yesterday while in town for the waterfront blues festival. I like the neat wood-meets-factory space and the thick central bar. Their selection is interesting, with only 7 taps plus a guest but an excellent selection of bottles, mostly cellared versions of their own big beers. Someday I would like to return when I'm with a group so that we can split and sample some of these (they are pricy -- hard for me to justify drinking a $30 rare beer by myself).

I had the maibock, which was quite refreshing on this very hot weekend. I also had the mac 'n' cheese, which was a bit over-salted but in general very good. (644 characters)
