Located in a large shopping complex on the Lawrence/North Andover line off of I-495. The floor space is fairly open compared to how most moderately sized stores are pretty tight and overwhelmed by aisles for wine.

Seasonals and new craft products are directly in front as you enter the establishment. A Belgian/German section take up about five large shelves to the store's back left. Wrapping around the store's back end are cooler doors devoted to brew; the left side composed of craft and the right to macro. One interesting note is that approximately 80% of the beer at 'Wine & Beer at the Andovers' is cold; this includes ALL high alcohol bombers...more on that in a moment.

Selection is lengthy and quality-wise impressive. Selection includes a pretty full line of Avery, Stone, Smutty, Rogue, Goose Island, Victory, etc. Pretty impressive, but the real treat of this place is that they carry many selections and breweries that other places in the area do not: growlers from Cody Brewing, Shorts (sp?) Brewing, Grand Teton, etc.

As for service, well...the guy behind the register was pleasant enough and talked at length about their desire to bring in new products. Nothing to complain about so far; however, he made some comments that made me doubt his brew knowledge. For example, he stated that he did not understand why so many other stores keep their craft selection warm. When I asked what he meant, he responded by saying that it didn't make much sense since ALL beer, regardless of alcohol content, goes bad within 60 days. Obviously, this guy is not into cellaring.

Overlooking some questionable comments from the staff, this place stocks some very interesting stuff and is one of the better establishments in the Lowell, Lawrence, Andover area.

First off I'm being asked to fill in fields as if this place was a bar or restaurant. It is just a bottle shop. They have a good selection of crafts pretty much the same stuff you will find at most stores with the exception being that they carry hansen's oude kriek which is a
Little bit harder to find. The prices are pretty much the norm for the area. The service was nothing spectacular just one guy behind the counter whomprobably doesn't know all that much about beer since he looked shocked when the 750 of hansen's cake up over 20 bucks. But overall it's a very clean looking shop ith a pretty good selection and reasonable prices

What can be said about this place but WOW! Just a great and well thought out selection with the majority of micros being cold! Also, a great seasonal rack is there to greet you when you enter the front door as well as a rack of apprently, new arrivals. I am a huge belgian fan and they have a wonderful selection that would take months to get through. Prices are fair. Service was very good. They seem to get 5-10 new beers each week which keeps things interesting with every visit. I recommend this place to anyone who respects beer!!
