Despite working at a "competing" HyVee, this is generally where I do my beer shopping since it's across the street from my house. The store is nice, in a good location, and actually seeks out product, which is very nice, since most places just take what they get or take customer requests. Prices are good, but not always the best in town (never far off though). Product is kept cool, but not overly cold. Generally this is the first place in town to have something new. The service is great if the manager is there, but lack luster if not.

Made a quick trip down to pick up some Millstream and Peace Tree beers. The place is not huge by any means, but quite spacious. All of their beer is in coolers. That's a huge plus. I do feel for Iowa people as your selection of beers is pretty limited. I would say this store does a nice job of getting in what they can. I was able to pick from several Peace Tree beers as well as Millstream. Really the only other brewery that I noticed that was not available in MN besides Peace Tree and Millstream, was Lost Coast. Otherwise, the selection wasn't huge, but there were some nice beers from MN and CA to go with the local fare. A few imports as well. Fair pricing and a nice little make your own six pack section. The manager was pretty knowledgable and helped me take the goods out to my car as I had my hands full. Overall, a decent place to go for some Iowa brews.

I've found this place to have the best beer selection in North Central Iowa. They have a few foreign brews and a very nice selection of microbrews. A variety of Iowa / Minnesota brews are stocked including Millstream, Hub City, and Peace Tree (Iowa) along with Schell's, Brau Brothers, and Summit (Minnesota). Other breweries represented include Sierra Nevada, Rogue, Anchor, Left Hand, and Flying Dog (to name a few). I find they stock Old Rasputin on a regular basis (I reciprocate by trying to keep the inventory moving). I am quite impressed with the variety of Bell's beers including Two Hearted, Expedition Stout, Porter, Java Stout, Christmas, Third Coast Ale, and others. The manager also shared that Bell's Hop Slam will be there in a few weeks, much to my delight.

This place just opened a couple years ago and is located in a nice centralized part of town. It's close to my house and they have a great beer selection for the area. They have a friendly staff that approaches you for help on selection advice. Good deals and discounts most of the time. They do a great job of advertising their rebate specials. The Wine & Spririts Manager seems very knowledgeable and will spend the extra time discussing different types of beer & wine and will help make good suggestions. Overall my favorite place to purchase beer.
