The Perfect Pour is a love/hate bottle shop if there ever was one. The selection is unmatched for the area. They have nearly any beer you can think of that is distributed to the area. Craft, imports, limited beers, they have it all. The staff is also pretty knowledgable and usually pretty prominent. I was looking for about 10 minutes and was asked several times if I needed any help. The only drawback for me (and others) is the high price points. The majority of beers are at least 20% more expensive than other shops in the area. There have been some mentions of new ownership, but I didn't see much of a price change. Again, if you are looking for a specific beer and don't care about the cost, this place is a good bet to carry it. The guy I was with bought a case of Yards Brawler and was given a free Yards glass, which I thought was a nice gesture. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Great selection of local, craft and imports.
12 tap growler/crowler fill station that is continually updated on their website.
Friendly and helpful staff that have always offered help and given it when needed.
They have a good turnover rate, which means sometimes you miss out on new releases, which are usually posted on IG, but this keeps most of their craft selection fresh. In the approximately four years that I have frequented this shop I have had numerous "beer conversations" with employees as well as brewer's reps. The prices are a bit high but reasonable. Most of the craft selection is stored at room temperature but nowhere near any windows.

Convenient location just off I-95 south of Baltimore. First thing you will notice is the extensive craft selection, from the case stacks in the center of the store, to the loaded aisles behind them. They also have a growler station with about 12-15 taps. Macros dominate the coolers. Probably the best place to find the latest releases and seasonals. If it's distributed in Maryland this may be the best place to find it. Service is knowledgeable and friendly. Drawback is the tight aisles; a trade-off I know for the large selection, but it can be difficult to maneuver when they are busy.

Plus-Big store with good selection of imported and Maryland craft beers. Minus-Prices seemed a slightly higher for some beers and the cooler area was filled with the regular suspects.

Perfect Pour is in the top three beers store in MD for size of selection. I love how much they use twitter, never have to guess what new arrivals are. Sadly, none of this really matters... easily the most expensive beer store in the surrounding area. Almost everything is at least ten percent more than their competitors. Because of this, I find myself shopping here less and less... even the glassware is expensive. Its not like everything is refrigerated... I might pay for that.

Typical wine/beer shop. Large selection, but a lot of very standard offerings taking up a lot of shelf space and seemingly sitting around for a while. Local D/IPAs bottled/canned 3 months before sitting on the shelves. National offerings 6+ months past the bottle date or at the expiration date on the shelf. Almost no fridge space and what space there is is taken up largely by the MBC offerings.
The gentleman working was very helpful - helped guide me to the local offerings and pointed out some other things new to the state. Was helpful with my wife and her cider questions. It was fine but nothing fantastic.

Rates right up there with State Line. I really think I am starting to like the selection here the best. The only thing that I could complain about is the prices seem a little high... Overall, possibly the best bottle shop in the state.

Lots and lots of choices here and you can pull a bottle standalone from essentially any packaging, if the single isn't already on the the shelf, in order to build your own 6-pack: (Big thumbs up here.) There are also a number of bomber/standalone bottles available, including a very hefty number of imports:
However, lot's of stockage on low shelves, which is compounded by a lack of light and the many customers trying to get by you, as you stoop down onto the floor in many situations. (thumbs down here.)
A fair number of employees roaming free-range, asking if you need help.

Needs beers from breweries in Minnesota and Michigan.
Bell's (MI)
Surly (MN)
Summit (MN)
Bell's Two-Hearted Ale is one of the most popular craft beers in the Mid-west and Summit is one of the most well known breweries in MN, WI, IA, ND, and SD. Surly is also becoming extremely popluar in MN and growing exponentially. Some of the best IPA I have ever had; comparable to west coast IPA's such as Sierra Nevada Torpedo, Green Flash West Coast, and Stone IPA's.

A massive liquor and beer store with the appeal that comes with high shelves, lots of boxes and narrow isles. But an overwhelming selection. Friendly people and good service. Something on the shelves to make almost anyone happy.

This place has recently given State line a run for their money for best bottle shop in MD. Under new ownership their pricing has become reasonable. Their selection is unreal and the customer service is exceptional for a store of it's size.

I thought this place was amazing. The European beer offerings especially I found to be a wider selection than anywhere else I've been. Some complain about prices, but I found them reasonably priced and comparable to most bottle shops that sell singles over in Frederick, MD.

The selection here is beyond compare (at least in Maryland). Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable and eager to help. Maybe a little too eager. You won't get out of there without being asked if you need anything about 10 times. That can be kind of annoying, but they do know their stuff and are everywhere. The Growler station has 12 beers on tap at all times. The only reason this place doesn't get a 5 is that their prices are higher than other places. Cindy's, also in Elkridge, has a good selection (but not as good) with better prices.

The beer staff is knowledgeable and eager to help. Great group. Even the wine side will try to help, and are not completely lost on the beer side.
The selection of beers cannot be beat. I have yet to find a beer store, coast to coast, that compares, let alone beats this store. You pay for the selection, however. For commonly available beers, you can probably go around the corner and save a dollar or more per six-pack. In my opinion, this is totally worth it. I'll take selection over bargains any day of the week.
My only complaint is that the wine side seems to be growing as of early 2014, and encroaching on the beer side. It certainly hasn't hurt their selection, and the current American beer scene will keep new things constantly coming in.
Great place, and I'll keep coming back.
