Just cross the road from the cheesy hotel I was stuck in for 8 days in drive thru town Watsonville, this little place served the purpose and not much else a few times...basically it a little wine/booze/beer spot where you can get some decent and widely available beers and a bag of ice...Worked solely cuz there didnt seem to be any place better to check out in the immediate area..damning with faint praise as my father likes to say...go with low expectations and you will be pleasantly suprised....gave em a low mark for "food" cuz all they have is the worst junk food you can find...

Given that I'm staying at the Holiday Inn across the street from Cork & Bottle, I was tempted to start by ripping parts of the 2003 hit song "Holiday Inn". But since I'm not very creative, I think it would be better to go straight to the point.
Located on the north side of CA-152, this medium sized liquor store is very visible as it sits on its own close to the highway. When you walk in, the wine and sodas are located to the right, and the beer paradise is towards the back on the left. Most of the beers are in the cooler, plus a small litter at room temperature. Seeing Stone Ruination with a month and a half of shelf life was a good sign for freshness. Bottles are organzied well enough.
Being more specific of the selection, NorCal beers and to a smaller extent Belgians ales are the dominating origins, with names like Duvel, Tripel Karmeliet, Lindemans, Gulden Draak, Rubicon, Moylan's, Anderson Valley, North Coast...even Cantillon Kriek. Outside of those origins are brands like Samuel Smith's, Stone, Kostritzer, Spaten, and Unibroue. Many of the beer were labeled with prices, which for the most part, were reasonbale.
An older gentleman greeted me at the cash register and didn't even ask for my ID. "Hope it doesn't rain today". A quick swipe of the card and signature, then I was out.

BAs visiting the Watsonville area will find little in the way of beer stores that are worth checking out. Cork & Bottle is the place to go for craft and good imports when in Watsonville.
Located off of Main street in the same plaza as a Nob Hill Grocery store. The have Butte Brewing, Lost Cost, Santa Cruz Mountain, Moylan's in Bombers and Lost Coast, SN, Anchor, Deschutes and other micros in sixers.
They have a limited selection of import beers-but do carry a small but good selection of Belgium beers.
Service good-prices are reasonable for Santa Cruz County.
