This Weissbier is yellow golden in body and slightly cloudy with a healthy white head. No visible sediment. Aromas contain a nice amount of banana and clove. Body is light for the style. Taste is fruity, crisp, and slightly biting. Very drinkable. Not a bad little brew at all.

Color was a medium straw with no discernable cloud that is typical of weiss. Not very much head to speak of...like 1/4 an inch that died immediatly.

Nose was very acidic or chemical...hard to describe. I even swirled it a bit to try to release any hidden aromas, but there were none.

Mouthfeel was bubbly.

Taste was very chemical..very adjunct flavored. Not much wheat or malt here to speak of. The usual flavors that I associate with a weiss are non-existent.

Overall..I would not order this again.

Re-Visited, from notes.

Not as off-style as I remember from the last time.

Light cloud with a good overall flavor profile. A little light on the wheat flavors and a little crisp, but a good example of a lighter side to the style.

Thinking maybe I was poured the wrong beer last time?? Possibly the light lager?

I was disappointed with this beer. It was the hazy, pale yellow color of a Hefe, but without any head other that some slight foam at the top of the pint glass. The smell hinted at a Weiss, but did not have the aromas I normally associate with the style. Now to taste, here again the esters missing in the smell are missing in the taste - hinted at but not quite there. All in all, better than a macro, but I would try the other styles they have on tap over this one. I hope this was the end of a bad batch, and I will give it another chance when I find myself in the Dells again.

This was a credible example of a Weissbier. The beer was slightly cloudy as most weisses are. The head was white and created a nice lace as the beer was drunk. The smell was your typical weiss: banana and cloves. Same with the taste. No off-tastes detected. Mouthfeel was nice an bubbly. An very drinkable Weissbier.

Slightly hazy golden straw colored brew. A slight white head tops the brew and reduces to a film rather quickly. It does leave a nice belgian lace though. I note vanilla and banana on the nose. Taste really features the vanilla characteristic. It's nice tasting, but the spicy notes taht I love in weizens are missing. Fairly light in body and easy to go down the chute. Above average, but not much more.
