There probably isn't too much to say about Moosejaw that hasn't already benn said before. This is a pizza place. Midwestern style pizza to be exact, but thankfully they don't party cut it. And, since this is the Dells it's packed full of tourists and kids and everyone's eating pizza.
That said, the pizza isn't all that bad. It's not all that good either, but the sauce is sweet and they load it with cheese. I've had worse.
The beer is about the same as the pizza. Fairly generic and brewed for the masses. It's unexciting enough that I didn't even bother filling my growler even though fills only cost $11 and I had brought my growler with me.
I will say my server was a really good guy. I might not have liked Moosejaw much, but my sever was attentive and was willing to get me a sample of whatever I wanted.
In the end Moosejaw is what it is: a pizza pub in a tourist town. I didn't expect much and I didn't get much in return.

When one is in the Dell's...one must visit the Moosejaw on principle. The brewery is located on one of the main strips in a big log cabin type building. The atmosphere is hit a little...not because of the decor...is that it is more for family night out after a long day in the Dells. The quality of the food and beer was both very good. The service was quite attentive and happy to help. The selection for both food and beer was decent....although it is a pizza place. So I had the pizza, pan style and it was very good. I had a 10 pc sampler, one pint, two adult entres, three kid meals & drinks, and two appetizers....total was $100....seemed a bit much for mid-Wisconsin.

A: The Northwoods rustic Lumberjack/Hunter-esque restaurant and brewery. My family and I sat on the second floor and I counted 14 large fermenting vats, on one side was labeled 1 - 7 and on the other side it was labeled 1 - 7. As a homebrewer, I realized it was their way of showing the brewing process of the primary boiling vat and then the secondary vat for fermenting - Nice touch! I ended up losing count of the antlers that adorned the entire restaurant, to me, I like that as an Outdoorsmen. The taxidermy was all over the place.

Q: It seemed like the brews I had over the course of the day along stuck mainly to their respected styles.

S: The waitress had gotten all of our drinks within a respectable time.

S: Though there was a fair amount of different kinds of pizza, there was also an ample amount of burgers and other pub fare. About 8 different beers were on tap, pretty much all of different styles

F: My family and I had the premium pizza on a thin crust and we all liked it very much.

V: Actually, this seemed very reasonable.

Best thing about this place to me was the atmosphere. If you don't like it, go back to the city.
There is nothing bad about this place.

Visited this past Tuesday with my wife and kids. Good family atmosphere including moose hats for everyone. Large menu. Pizza was decent and beer bread with honey butter was pretty good. Of course, I made the family go so I could try the beers. I wasn't a big fan of the honey ale but found the rest of my flight to be quite drinkable. If you are looking for an intimate craft beer taproom, this is NOT your place. But for a large family friendly vacation spot that also makes their own beer, I was overall pleased.

2011: In other Moosejaw related news, Moosejaw brewmaster Jamie Martin (Baertsch) blows whistle on a homebrewing charity event in Baraboo: http://www.wiscnews.com/baraboonewsrepublic/news/local/article_7f16d998-8d88-11e0-8384-001cc4c03286.html

"Brew at the Barn returns June 5 to the The Barn Restaurant and Bar in Baraboo; and event organizer Christin Harding had planned to offer home brews for the public to sample while raising money for the Wisconsin Multiple Sclerosis Society. The event also was slated to serve as a home brew competition...

Harding's plans changed after a concerned citizen, Jamie Martin, contacted various law enforcement agencies regarding the legality of the event. In an email Martin sent to the News Republic, Martin stated Harding was avoiding taxes, violating health codes and endangering The Barn Restaurant and Bar's liquor license."

Very uncool, Jaime Martin. Not planning to patronize Moosejaw anymore, based on the actions of their brewmaster. I'd encourage others to do the same, if you care about homebrewers' rights in Wisconsin.

Airy hunting lodge meets taxidermist's wet dream...the beer played second fiddle to the wholesome family dining element. Arrived for lunch, plenty of seating midday. We were seated under a collosal moose head and the 3-tier antler chandeliers. Everything was fashioned from wood, even the tap handles in the bar were stubby tree branch segments.

First thing to arrive was the 6 point beer sampler, it was served on a log slice carved with inset circles and numbers for the various beers. The beers were also ordered by number on the menu (12 total). Out of the 6, only the Dunkel was pleasing enough to order a pint of. The Weisse was soapy, Amber: funky, Kilbourn Hop Ale: syrupy, and the Pilsner was average. The Stout was ok, with a good roast coffee character, but not especially memorable.

The table ordered personal size pizzas, which all got the thumbs up. Bruschetta appetizer was a little oily with more garlic than tomato.

None of the beers were exciting enough to take a growler of, but i'd return again to try more options with a pizza. On a side note, the delivery cars are eye-catching, but travelling behind one staring at a moose's hindquarters isn't the best way to advertise a restaurant.

Stopped in here while on vacation with my girlfriends family. I knew we'd be stopping in the Dells for the weekend and decided to look up good places to eat and grab a beer.

The decor is definitely unique and inviting. Everything fits together very well and looks pretty good. The service was good, we got everything we ordered very quickly, and it was all as ordered. We must have walked in at just the right time, because they sat us down immediately, but when driving by later, the line was way out the door.

The beer is decent, nothing to drool over, but still nice to get a locally brewed beer when on vacation. They had a decent selection to choose from, but besides their beers all I saw was Miller Lite. We all ordered pizza and enjoyed it all, but the personal pizzas were smaller than expected.

Overall, definitely a good place to stop if you're looking for a local brew and some decent pizza.

The food was OK here. Not much of a Pub atmosphere, as it is very family friendly. The beer was lacking...seemed lifeless, and flat. We had a the flight to start. The summer wheat, and mixed berry were the best, of the lame bunch IMHO.
The place is very big, so if the parking lot looks pretty full, you still may not have much of a wait. The food selection was large, but quality was just OK. I think the place is trying to hard to be everything, for everybody, and is coming across as just so so to people. I would give it another chance at some point.

Stopped on a Saturday night, the place moderately packed. It has the family place feel with pizza seemingly the dominant food. Had a flight of beers and the IPA and Stout were very good, and the others were solid. Architecturally the building has a rustic cabin theme, with nice tiles on the ceiling. Server seemed to know a bit about beer, and also seemed to enjoy talking about it. Selection of brews may have been slightly above a place of the sort. In retrospect, I find this to be a nice place to visit in the Dells. I thought prices were decent, considering it is probably in the tourist mecca of Wisconsin.

Stopped by here while on vacation in the Dells in Sring 2011.

MooseJaw obviously specializes in Pizza and Beer. They do have lots of other choices but are rather minimal in the burger/steak category. The decor is well done in a log cabin/up north hunting theme. Food was great and the place was hopping for an early Tuesday dinner. Seems they always have at least 10 different store brews to try for $4 or you can get the sampler which is all 10 draft beers in a 5oz. glass. Or you can take home a growler for $14. Really neat place and interesting brews!

I'm gonna give this a half point boost in atmosphere because its the Dells! Being there for the first time on a bachelor party doesn't hurt either. Had to lay down some food and drinks before the trip to Cruisin' Chubbies.

Anyways, log cabin exterior, massive place inside. Tons of seating area, multiple rooms etc. . . shit ton of misbehaved kids with single mothers and grandmothers it seemed. Git rid of the kids and the atmosphere is almost perfect.

Beers all have the same taste, bland feel, same yeast strain. Nothing hoppy, nothing thick, nothing over the top, all middle of the road easy access beers. Staff tries to sound educated, but comes off extremely lacking. The pale is not super bitter nor hoppy. The stout is not super high in alcohol etc. . .

Food is pretty bland, overcooked. Have had the elk burger and pizza before.
