Stopped in on the way home from a family get-away to Northern Bay Resort on Castle Rock Lake, about a half-hour North of the Dells.

Atm: A giant log cabin-inspired edifice with multiple bar and seating areas downstairs and the brewing equipment upstairs. Taxidermy abounds. I chose to sit at the big, main U-shaped bar with my GF and family. The place was absolutely packed with your typical Dells crowd of rowdy kids and exasperated parents, but it was pleasant enough at the bar.

Service: attentive and friendly, not the most knowledgable about the beer itself, but eager to fill you back up at least.

Selection/Quality: 8-10 beers on tap including one on nitro (usually the stout). Not sure about the bottle selection, I'm not about to insult a brewpub by not ordering their beer. I tried a 6 beer sampler flight including their nitro stout, a couple APAs, dunkel lager, weissbier and amber. All of them were solid, the Hop Ale, Dunkel Lager and Nitro Stout stood out. Nothing outstanding, but better than I'd have expected from the Dells.

Food: just sampled some appetizers (quesadillas, wings, bruscetta) - standard pub fare, again solid but nothing outstanding.

Overall, not a bad little place to escape to sleezy/cheesy Dells scene for a few brews. Sad to see I missed the recommended Blonde Bock. Worth a stop if you're stuck in the area.

There probably isn't too much to say about Moosejaw that hasn't already benn said before. This is a pizza place. Midwestern style pizza to be exact, but thankfully they don't party cut it. And, since this is the Dells it's packed full of tourists and kids and everyone's eating pizza.
That said, the pizza isn't all that bad. It's not all that good either, but the sauce is sweet and they load it with cheese. I've had worse.
The beer is about the same as the pizza. Fairly generic and brewed for the masses. It's unexciting enough that I didn't even bother filling my growler even though fills only cost $11 and I had brought my growler with me.
I will say my server was a really good guy. I might not have liked Moosejaw much, but my sever was attentive and was willing to get me a sample of whatever I wanted.
In the end Moosejaw is what it is: a pizza pub in a tourist town. I didn't expect much and I didn't get much in return.

When one is in the Dell's...one must visit the Moosejaw on principle. The brewery is located on one of the main strips in a big log cabin type building. The atmosphere is hit a little...not because of the decor...is that it is more for family night out after a long day in the Dells. The quality of the food and beer was both very good. The service was quite attentive and happy to help. The selection for both food and beer was decent....although it is a pizza place. So I had the pizza, pan style and it was very good. I had a 10 pc sampler, one pint, two adult entres, three kid meals & drinks, and two appetizers....total was $100....seemed a bit much for mid-Wisconsin.

Visited this past Tuesday with my wife and kids. Good family atmosphere including moose hats for everyone. Large menu. Pizza was decent and beer bread with honey butter was pretty good. Of course, I made the family go so I could try the beers. I wasn't a big fan of the honey ale but found the rest of my flight to be quite drinkable. If you are looking for an intimate craft beer taproom, this is NOT your place. But for a large family friendly vacation spot that also makes their own beer, I was overall pleased.
