A tiny nook of a place. If there are more than five people in the store you are jostling for position and looking over each other's shoulders.

That said, what I like about the boutique is that they had mostly single bottles available, they knew their stock and the local beer locales to visit. Also, unlike other micro-centric dépanneurs they didn't waste shelf space with macros or crummy micros.

The prices are comparable to Québec's standards-maybe a titch more.

Handy to Brouhaha and not too far from Peluso.

Tiny little place made up to look rustic and half-hidden just off Beaubien. There is a decent selection of beers and some other products. The employees were friendly and helpful. There is a wall of fridges on one side that holds most of their beer (a major plus!). The selection is not exhaustive, but features most of the sure bets and not too many of the gambles that you'll find in a lot of bottleshops around town. Prices seemed to be about par for the course, get most releases. Worth a visit if you're in Petite Italie.

A small store that sells a few different items, among them some Quebec beer. It's located in a busy area that is a bit of a pain to get to, and there isn't much free parking available. I was there on a saturday and i couldn't even find a pay parking spot. Anyways, the store itself is nice inside and their prices seemed reasonable. They don't have a huge selection, maybe 100-120 different beers. They carry Trou Du Diable beers, but they didn't have any in stock. It was the only store in Montreal that I went to that had Hopfenstark in stock though.

Like Goldorak said, this really has a beer boutique feel to it. I think about 90% of the beer is refrigerated which I find awesome.
Parking is a bit difficult but check out the Plaza St-Hubert website for info on the nearby parking lot.
Lots of stuff to try here and I'm not only talking about the beer. All sorts of jams, seasonings, cheese and meat products. You just feel like trying it all. Very knowledgeable staff. Really nice to see ONLY Quebec craft here and I think this is the only store I've noticed this. I don't even think they carry Unibroue. Wish it was bigger. Not the biggest selection but I always find a gem or two.

Went there because I was hunting for "La Buteuse". Sadly, they didn't have it in stock. BUT, at least they knew what the beer was, and they got a batch last week, which was sold out. The woman who served me, which I think is the owner of the place, was kind enough to take my name and number to call me when they will receive the beer. I was very happy since I was looking for that one for ages. That is just fantastic as service go.

As for the prices, someone said it was pretty expensive, but I gotta tell, they are very reasonable when it comes to the pricing. See, beers in Quebec are much more expensive than in the states.

The selection was very good. They had about every microbrews worth checking out in stock from Quebec (they only have quebec beers). I even had the great pleasure to find 2 bottles of Trois Mousquetaires' Porter Baltique batch of 2009 (which is a fantastic brew).

The beers were all in a fridge, so there it goes for quality of storing. Although an opaque front would have been preferred, the only light that got to the bottle was the lighting of the fridge.

This is definately a "boutique" Beer store in a very strange location on tacky St-Hubert, where you can get a cheap second-hand wedding dress, latex boots with matching whip and knockoff fashions. But it's only a block away from Baubien metro, not much of a detour if you're going to Vices & Versa.

It's a small store, so selection is limited, but you only find the cream of the crop here, and is likely to have the limited release Beers hidden in the backstore, so don't hesitate to ask. They seem to have a strict no hoarding policy on these, good for them.

Service was friendly and the guy knew his stuff. Cheeses and other interesting pairings were available.

This may become my favorite local store.

If you are into extremely good Canadian craft beer, this is where you have to go. They're system is very cool in the sense that you buy each beer on an individual basis and they package them up for you, the more you buy the more of a discount you get. I bought twelve brews and it cost my 35$... yeah... its pretty expensive and not something i would do on a regular basis, however the occasional beer haul from this place is well worth its premium price i recommend it to any fellow Montreal residents

This small beer store is wedged in the St-Hubert Plaza, a stretch of stores covering a couple of blocks.

Parking is a bit hard to find because you can only park on one side of the street which means all spots are taken, though each time i went i was able to find a spot (though i never went during peak hours).

The store itself is really worth it. They only have Quebec microbrews, nothing else. They are also one of the first stores to receive new release of beer, some of which are not available everywhere. Selection is great with Charlevoix, Bieropholie, AMB, 3 Mousquetaires, DDC, etc.. They are pretty much all here. It's the perfect place to buy single bottles. I got the Alt from Bieropholie as well as a St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout. The majority of their beers are refrigerated with 6 & 12 packs available at room temp. They also give you a 10% discount if you buy more than 6 individual beers, a good deal when you want to stock up.

Service is top notch. They are extremely knowledgable, especially Annie, one of the owners. The store being geared principally towards beer, they can answer any questions you might have, they'll be glad to help.

Terroir means products (agricultural or otherwise) associated to a certain rural region (in this case Quebec). That means they also sell spreads, jams and other assorted goodies from around Quebec.

IMO, a must stop place for your bottled needs in Montreal. Easily accessible via Metro if you don't have a car or don't feel like driving.
Highly recommended.
