I live close-by, and didn't really expect much from this random liquor store. When I finally wandered in after months of passing it up, I was shocked. Rather than the standard "convenience" mark-up you see at many smaller liquor stores, it was actually more affordable than most grocery stores. You won't necessarily find any rarities here, but at the same time, there's a lot of L.A. brews, some Stone special releases and whatever the latest New Belgium Lips of Faith release may be -- along with a large selection of German beers as well.
They're only open until about 10 p.m., so keep that in mind if you're looking to stop by. The area's fine, though as it gets later, you'll find the occasional odd character outside (hence why they close by 10). But if you're in a pinch and want to avoid the Von's two blocks away, this is your spot. They also have a nice selection of wines and liquors too (and plenty of chips, soda, etc.), if you're looking to check off a few things on your shopping list.

4th stop yesterday on my Santa Monica beer store excursion, this place used to be Ladd's Liquor, right off of 11th Ave. as well and near Lincoln, walked in and noticed a big liquor selection behind the counter, then I saw four beer fridges and a shelf next to a bunch of wine with some Belgians, the people working here were generous and checked on a few things in the back for me, although they did not know much about beer they were as helpful as possible, the place was very clean for a Santa Monica joint, no offense to any of its residents, their six pack prices were very cheap and some of their bombers were the cheapest I have seen as well, All Deschutes six packs were only seven dollars, they had Obsidian Stout, Black Butte Porter, Inversion IPA, Twilight Ale, and Mirror Pond Pale, they also had Kona Wailua Wheat and Longboard Lager, Sierra Nevada products including Summerfest for seven dollars, three different Ommegang 750s, Sprecher Scotch Ale in the big swingtop bottle, Ruination 22 oz. for only five dollars, Deus, a few different Konings Hoevens, some leftover Delerium Noel, St. Peter's stuff, and a few Baladins, lots of beers I did not expect to see in this little place, the highlight was the Kriek de Ranke for sixteen dollars, I have only seen this one other place and that was Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, they also had some cool Orval goblets, would probably come back here, best store I have seen in this immediate area but still not quite fantastic like others places near my residence, check it ou if you are nearby regardless
