I work at this HyVee so I go to this WS a lot. I buy beer here at least 2 to 3 times a week whether it be lots of different beers to one bottle to drink that night.
It has mostly hard liquor and wine but it has a great selection of beer. It has of course all of the common adjuncts but it has much more than that.
It has a Mix and Match section for 8.99 for 6 different beers of your choice. That shelf has tons of different great beers to try. I get this a lot. Also it has an open cold shelf full of tons of different beers. some are single bottles and big cans and some are 6 packs. I ahve lots of my beer knowledge because of the selection this HyVee WS has.
The people who work there all but I think one has knowledge about beer. Each one has recommended a certain beer to me. This is nice because sometimes Im looking for that 6th beer of the 6 pack and they suggest something.
I got here a lot and enjoy everything about it. I can usually get something new every time I go.
If you are in the area stop by here especially if youare near Nebraska Brewing company close by.
The only other HyVee WS I would compare this to is the one on 132 and Cass. That is a rather large selection beer place aswell.

This Hy-Vee is right next door to Nebraska Brewing Company, so I decided to stop in before I went to Dinner.
Like the other Hy-Vee I visited, this store is accessible from both the outside and the grocery store. It's not particularly large, but the selection is still pretty good. The majority of the beer is in a cooler that stretches along one wall of the store. The remaining stock of singles is on an open shelf. Prices seem a little high to me, but then I'm not from NE, so I don't know the averages. Selection is above average, but not great.
There was one woman working when I was there. She was quite friendly and helpful.
Overall, I'm glad I stopped in.

Of all Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits in the Omaha metro (not including CB) this has the best selection. They basically carry all the domestic craft beer available in Nebraska plus a very solid selection of Belgian and German beer. The store also does a good job stocking seasonals.
Most of the beer is kept in an open-faced cooler but they have a walk-in (which is mostly BMC but there is "hidden" craft beer too).
Like most Hy-Vee W&S you can enter it through the store or its own door. Most of the space is devoted to wine and, yes, you guessed it, spirits but the beer selection is really good. Of course I think Beertopia has a better selection (I am biased as I work there) but I also think this Hy-Vee is excellent. Also, this is really the only place in all of Sarpy County to buy beer. I am sure folks in western Bellevue (is there such a thing?) and Papillion-LaVista shop here frequently.
The liquor manager is a good guy and clearly knows enough to stock some really good beer.
As for prices, some are a $1 or so higher than other grocery stores but they do have really good sale most of the time. In other words, price isn't really an issue.
I really respect what this Hy-Vee W&S has done. Good for them. Visit Nebraska Brewing Co. and stop here too. Not a bad little beer corner in SW Omaha.
