Mondo Vino is my go to hidden gem in Denver. I actually feel dumb for telling you about it. But they are great over there and if it helps their business great! Beer selection is top notch and they keep it all COLD! Every beer in the place is in a cooler an it takes up the whole wall there. They get lots of things from Crooked Stave, Funkworks, RR, and every local Colorado Brewery. They also are the most helpful nice beer store people I have ever met. Every time I finally pick a beer they will come over and hold it at the register for me so I can keep looking. A very simple gesture that goes a long way. Mondo Vino is great local beer store. Oh and if you like wine apparently they have some there.

This place has it all. Great service from a knowledgeable staff and an amazing selection. You will definitely find your mainstream stuff but you can tell these guys get geeked out on import styles. Would recommend it to anyone who is really passionate about beer in the front range. They have a whole door dedicated to just belgian and french style bombers, as well as 2 more doors for everything in between. It's really nice to see a place that takes pride in what they sell, and will give you a strait up answer. If they think its not worth buying there gonna let you know. For the beginner beer enthusiast they direct you to great introductory styles. Also they order anything for you upon availability. I like the selection at some of the bigger stores but its nice to have people working with you that can help you weed out all the crap. They have an unbelievable selection of wine and spirits too. If you live anywhere in the front range, check this place out. I've yet to find a better place.

Mondo Vino has been my go to liquor store for the past couple years and I couldn't be happier. Their selection is always great and their help is the best I have ever come across. All of their employees are well educated in their product and they always listen well. They have a great selection of bottles as well as six packs. If they don't have something, they have no problem ordering it for you.
They also have wine tasting on Friday and Saturday's. Typically, they have 4 affordable wines that are value inspired.

I've visited this place twice in the past few months and both times were enjoyable experiences.
Mondo Vino, as the name suggests, is primarily a wine place. That said, their beer selection is broad and well balanced. A good selection of local/regional brews as well as west coast and imports. Even some nice surprises that I hadn't seen at any other store.
Atmosphere is really nice for a liquor store. Even though it's not one of the criteria listed for judging, I appreciate a clean, comfortable, and well-organized store.
The prices are reasonable but they aren't really trying to be the cheapest place to buy beer.
The best part, by far, is the service. It's one of the only stores I've ever been to where multiple people asked if they could help or made suggestions. They all seem knowledgeable and eager to assist.

Mondo Vino is a clean, handsome little store on the main street of a neighborhood less than 10 minutes from downtown that features an array of stores and eating establishments. The place is nicely laid out, wines on racks spaced about the wooden floor, all the beer in coolers against the long back wall.
The selection was all quality and conveniently arranged by country/region. There were a couple coolers devoted to imports and euro stuff, but I was mostly after the locals, of which there were plenty to choose. Of course you won't find the massive range of stuff available at the big box liquor stores, but the somewhat compact selection was very well-chosen. My choices were RR Supplication and Consectration, Pliny the Elder, Dry Dock 7 Seas, and Upslope IPA.
Service was fantastic. The guys working were friendly and very knowledgeable about the product. They gave a recommendation for a great restaurant nearby and even offered to hold my beers in the cooler in the meantime.
Overall I really liked this store, definitely worth a short detour to check out.

Stopped in last night after walking past on my way to dinner- I'm not from Denver, and I'm here for the GABF, but finding some beer to drink in the meantime was on my list of things to do. Rather surprised at the beer selection for what is primarily a wine store. Amazing bottle/bomber selection with everything from Moylan's to Cantillon to BA Yeti and Ruffian, all at very reasonable prices. As I was grinning like a moron at the fact they may well be the last liquor store to have Odell's Woodcut #1, the fellow who must be the beer buyer came up and struck up a conversation about what rare oddities he's had in the more recent days.
Very impressed, decent selection, great service. Will make a return trip next time I'm here.

Nestled outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Denver, yet far from the highways and Big-Box shopping mega-plexes of the suburbs, Mondo Vino is perfectly located in the up-and-coming Highlands neighborhood. It occupies an impressive corner location among a variety of cool and eclectic small shops
Mondo Vino carries a very impressive array of imported and domestic beers, 6-packs and 22s. They seem to turn over their inventory often enough to have a good selection of seasonal and local brews. The staff is young, passionate and extremely helpful. In fact, I like to take my time shopping for beer and its not uncommon to be approached for help multiple times during a visit. The times I've asked for help or recommendations have erupted into small conversations with multiple employees.
Also, next door is the St Killian's Cheese Shop which carries cheeses and other artisan treats that will certainly compliment your purchses from Mondo Vino.
Definitely worth a trip and a great alternative to Argonaut for Denver residents interested in craft beer.

Popped by Mondo Vino on a recent visit to Denver
Not the biggest selection in the world but lots of interesting offerings from Colorado craft brewers and further afield (Nogne, Mikkeller, various Belgian/German)
All beers are in a series of large fridge cabinets along the back wall
Seemed to hold a good selection of wines, but that wasn't what I was there for
The service was first rate
I was offered help immediately upon browsing the first fridge and I then asked for some reccomendations for eats and drinks in the area
I was pointed to Meade Station just a few doors up and the server offered to hold my beer in a fridge for me whilst I ate
We returned an hour later and I had another browse and again was helped immediately
This time a different server and he gave us more reccomendations for restaurants downtown and took the time to google them for specific addresses etc
First rate service, the guys knew their beer, highly reccomended!
