I passed by here to a friends house, and had to stop by and see their selection. The selection of beer was like Martins in Metairie, but a little more emphasis on the widely available beers, and a lot less emphasis on the specialty beers. One of the biggest problems I have when brousing through their beers is that not all of them you get to grab one, I saw a couple of six packs that I have never tried before, but at the same time I am unwilling to buy a six pack of beer I have never tried before, with the fact that I am left with five other beers if I don't like it. One the other hand, there was a great selection of single beers to pick and choose from. All in all, a good place to stop if you are in the area.

When I get into a big beer-buying phase, or in the neighborhood, I always like to check out this store.
The quality seems to be pretty good as all the beers are refrigerated and are away from the windows. I've never had a bad beer there. The service also seems to be good; the workers are friendly and have always asked if i needed help.
The selection is pretty good too. The best thing about them though is that they sell the beers in singles. Most of the beers you can get here are available at other beer stores. But they also have beers you'd think were not available in the area anymore, but then you see them on the shelf...though sometimes that can take a knock on the quality. Last time i went they had some pumkin ale still.
The prices have gotten a bit ridiculous. Abita andygator and abbey ale for $6 when grocery stores sell it for $4, Racer 5 for like $7, and the single beers look to cost at least $2.09 for beers where the 6pack is like $8, and many single beers costing over $3. i think i remeber seeing the singles of the st. barnardus line costing over $6.
Since i live very close to this store, i go there more than i should and buy over priced beers because of the convenience. But sometimes you have to pay for that. Overall, you will find beers you will like there, but will be paying for it.
