Served in an authentic one liter dimpled glass at Wolff's Biergarten in Albany.

This beer was a brilliant straw color, clear and nice head which disapted rather qucikly.
Aroma was slightly malty, with a tinge of flowers.

Brilliant clear and crisp beer. Taste was malty with a sharp hop bitterness. A hint of sweetness. Slight honey notes

Mouthfeel is light bodied and spot on for the style. Finished dry and crisp.

This has got to be one of the most drinkable beers I have ever enjoyed. It tastes like I'll have another.

Poured into a pilsner a lighter straw color with a fluffy blooming white head that left multiple rings of lace as it settled pretty quickly.Aromas of bread dough and light floral hops,a tinge of mineral/iron came thru as well.Lighter and almost delicate on the palate, light honey sweetness with that bread dough element are the dominant flavors,a leafy hop note becomes more present as I drink more.A pretty darn good pilsner, more delicate than most American versions,a nice quaffer on a seriously hot day.

Appearance – This one poured a light, hazy yellow in color with a huge, fluffy, white head.

Smell – The light noble hops and grain were smothered by skunk. Too bad, because otherwise it probably would have had a nice aroma.

Taste – The hops here are good. They are light and easy but get stepped on by the heavy-handed grain. The grain isn’t bad, it’s just too heavy for the style. The finish though is nice with a bit of sweetness at the end.

Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is good and light just as it should be.

Drinkability – This is a bit grainy for the style but a nice effort nevertheless.

Poured from a 12-ounce bottle, was a little cloudy with a great deal of carbonation and lacing. Nice hop taste that stick with you. Better than some of the more popular and famous German pilsners I've tried. A good choice for the price ($8.99 for a six pack)

Presentation: 11.2 oz green long neck bottle with no freshness date.

Appearance: Straw yellow in colour with a wonderful Brussels style lace.

Smell: Spicy mix of European noble hops the are a bit herbal and lemony. Grain is in the back ground.

Taste: Moderately bodied with an exceptionally smooth and crisp mouth feel. Slightly assertive spicy bitterness leaves a tingling bitter trail with herbal and lemony notes. Light yet fresh grain hits the palate with a mild husky astringency which seems to dry this beer up in the finish.

Notes: Its all you want in a typical German Pilsner, I’d choose this one any day over the mass marketed beers of the same style . Good drinking all around.

11.2 oz. green bottle > Pilsner glass

This is a totally clear yellow-gold color with only mild carboantion for this style. Looks a bit too mellow....the crown rises low and falls quick as a lacy-white sheeth.

Aroma's of: Gentle Bavarian yeast, sour...nut metallic(uh oh) Stale corn and fresh husks with a a cesar salad scent in the hops.

This has a thin, flat malt flavor that struggles to achieve crispy wheat...more like canned corn and stale bread! Metallic, sour yeast runs wild all over the place....nowhere to hide! There's a green peppers flavor to the hops, finishing with a white rice flavor.

Light, nearly crisp at first but a bit to lifeless to be refreshing. Not a great bottle.

look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.5

Appearance-Poured from a bottle to pilsner glass. About 2 1/2 fingers worth of pure white head settles into a fine mist. Perfectly clear with a yellow tint.

Aroma- Pilsner is a smell all its own and this has that great clean floral like smell inviting you to take a sip.

Taste-Earthy straw like taste. Very clean, crisp, and just a bit of unpleasent bitterness. Maybe a bit more malt to compete with the hops would be nice.

Mouthfeel-Snappy and crisp. Average carbonation.

drinkability-Very smooth easy drinking and tasty. Not too complex. Good beer to have while watching the game.

Ordered a half liter at Zum Schneider in the East Village. It's a brilliant clear yellow with a tall white head.

This is a classic German pils, dry, hoppy, and with a distinct mineral taste and aroma. You can really taste the hard German water that shapes this beer. The malts are a dry bread and biscuit blend while the hops are peppery with a touch of earth. All in all a very tasty a drinkable beer. It went great with my sausage platter.

Poured a yellow/orange with a faint soap ring off white head.

The smell is light with a bit of sweetness.

The flavor has a muted toasty grain quality with just a hint of light citrus and a bit of biscuit.

The mouthfeel is light with mild carbonation and a long dry finish.

An easy drinking solid german pils.

Clear and brilliant straw color with a medium sized frothy head and a thin lacing. Brilliant clear and crisp beer. The aroma of grains and herbal hops. Some light malt and vegetables, grassy. The taste is sweet but has a mild spice character with herbal and citrus hints. I tasted grains as well with a good touch of hops, lemony. The feel was smooth with a really good balance. Medium carbonation and and a light body. Mouth feel is light bodied and spot on for the style. Finished dry and crisp. Moderately creamy for the style. Lightly fizzy. Very nice example of a German Pils.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle to tall pills glass. Very nice carbonation and a white white head, very fluffy, billows like a cloud. The liquid is oh so light a pale faded straw color. One of the lightest I have seen.

The smell is of Malt & some alcohol, quite nice but faint.

The taste is surprisingly bold, Wow Lots of malt here, like a helles. Hops are good, nice light bitter. Perfect for a pills

The mounthfeel is thick and coating very nice full body, and the carbonation work perfect. Crisp and clean, very refreshing.

The drinkability very high, a classic drinking pills. Prost und Zum Wohl! MK

Pours a golden straw color with a fluffy white head that fades quicky.

Aroma of herbal hops jump out along with the faint note of cooked veggies.

Very easy pils to drink. The hops are a little overpowered by the malts but nothing serious.

Good brew.

A: Poured a cloudy, lemon-straw color capped off by a foamy white head.

S: some light malt and vegetables.

T: The flavor starts out with a light tartness of lemons backed by a decent grain bill that gives this some body. Overall the flavor was clean with some spicy herbal hopping and citrus notes. Leaves a nice sour malt and hop coating on the tongue.

M: moderate for a pils with a soft carbonation. Felt pretty nice.

D: Average drinkability, just not as crips or refreshing as one hopes per style.

Sourced at local draft haus where freshness is assured. Saw this one buried under a mountain of hoppy high abv IPAs down at the bottom of the board/offerings. I am a big fan of lagers and pilsners and had not tried this one. Pours a cloudy golden color with large white pillowy head that slowly falls. Smells of light roasted barley, some floral and yeast scent and hops. Taste is classic pilsner with aggressive bitter follow through. Leaves very nice lacing on glass. A most excellent example of the style.

T - More pronounced taste than most other pilsners, bready start to bitterness on the floral hop finish, mild citrus, a very good example of the style 4
M - An overall light brew, moderate carbonation 3.5
O - Very drinkable 4

Poured from the bottle into a tall pilsner style glass. Best before September 2012.

A very foamy and shampoo like bright white head is made, falls fairly quickly. Body color is a very straw hay yellow, crystal clear, but with nice rising carbonation and some stuck cola bubbles on the side but not too many.

Nose is a bready toasty white bread like malt. Very clean smelling, a little dry. Very solid, nothing too obviously hoppy either.

The vast majority of the taste and flavor seems to be on the finish. Slight dense mild malt and faint lemon finish comes off, after taste hits with a very dry white baked bread action. Slight interesting acid sense to this also, kind of interesting.

Overall pretty tasty, but not feeling that drawn to it or highly desiring another sometime soon.

appearance: The pour into my pilsener glass creates a generous 2" white head that slowly dies down. Slight lacing is left behind. The beer itself is a hazy, light straw color. All the suspended matter gives a whitish appearance to the beer. Nice head, but the color is pretty unappealing.

smell: Light, somewhat sweel pilsner malts, light grain, and a light typical German hop character. Maybe just a tiny bit of light spice. Nothing special, but well made.

mouthfeel: The carbonation is on the far light end of the high range, and the body around the middle of the light range.

taste: Similar to the nose in some aspects. Light pilsner malt provides a touch of sweetness. Pretty quickly, though, a moderately bitter astringency takes over...slightly chalky. The finish is very dry with a lingering bitterness.

drinkability: an ok beer, and easy drinking

Part of a "German Beer Hall Tour" sampler pack I received from my dad as a Christmas gift.

On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt.

Bubbly straw gold in the glass, highly effervescent and rather cloudy. A dense, sticky head caps the body and leaves sheets of lacing behind.

Grassy, zesty noble hops are prominent on the nose. Citrusy, a bit herbal with a slight lemon peel quality. Mildly malty, there's a whiff of lager yeast and crackery pils malt beneath the hops.

Hop forward but incredibly well balanced on the palate, it opens with lemony, grassy hop flavors backed by a dry and bready pils malt foundation. The finish is bitter, herbal, somewhat yeasty. Dry from front to back, and boldly hopped. Easily one of the better pilsners I've had in recent memory.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down and left a thin film of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: There are aromas of bready malts in the nose along with hints of grassy hops.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has lots of bready malt flavors along with a light amount of bitterness from the hops.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, clean and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is also a bit of dryness in the finish.
O: This is a very good representation of the style and delivers a nice crisp flavor. I would definitely have this beer again.

The beer pours a luminous gold with a generous bright white creamy head that lingers long, after its final demise; the lace forms a velum like sheet, to circumnavigate the glass. Nose has a soapy malt sweetness, citrus like in its crispness, pleasant to sniff. Start is modestly sweet, light bitter bite at the back, top is light to medium in feel. Finish has a sparkling acidity, the hops delectable in their spicy bite, quite dry aftertaste, and a fine drinking beer that would definitely make a nice session beer.

Poured a medium straw hue with a two finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a a sharp noble hop spice and a bready malt.

The taste was upfront leafy noble hop with a complementary grainy malt. Nice lingering bitterness.

The mouthfeel was clean and a bit lighter than average for the style.

Overall a nice standard pils Tasty and highly drinkable.

Poured a light golden with a big, creamy/fluffy white head. Lots of small carbonation seen rising slowly.

Aroma is sweet, somewhat flowery with malt underlying. Light hops and some slight grassy aroma.

Taste is sweet with light flavors and some hops. The bitter/dry finish dominates.

Mouthfeel is light and cleansing.

Overal, an OK brew. Finish is too bitter/dry for me [for the style] but it was still quite drinkable. Certainly worth a taste.

It has a transparent hay color with some nice bubbles to the body. There is a thin white head and tight lacing. The aroma is sharp and a little bit vegetable like. There is a grassy bitterness to the flavor. The mouthfeel thin with some bite. This beer is refreshing on hot humid Wurzburg day.

Light straw in the glass with a two finger dense white head that sticks around for a while.

Nose is herbal and grainy...but muted overall.

Taste: Very balanced (i.e. not overly hoppy) for a pilsner. Spicy hops are up front (I'd swear it's Czech Saaz) but not as in-your-face as say, a Pilsner Urquell. Biscuity malt comes in right behind the hops....nice. Medium bodied and dangerously drinkable.

Had this beer at Beer on the Pier 1 fest.
Pale yellow body with a high nice lacy head
Smells like many pils, with grains, yeast, but no strong aroma there.
The taste was surprisingly tasty, smooth and very well balenced from beginning to end. Not too sweet or too hoppy.
Nice feel in the mouth, good carbination, light and refreshing
A good german pils, Very drinkable if you can find it.
