An excellent Hefe-weiss. Delicious and tasty. Not overwhelming and easy to drink. It would pair great with a variety of foods. For some reason I'm thinking of pairing this with some grilled shrimp.

A - Yellow, cloudy, foamy marshmallow head that formed when swirling the sediment in the bottle.

S - Clean and nice. Notes more like a witbier in a way. More complex than the usual banana/clove but subtle. I'd say it's more like clove/corriander/orange.

T - Light grain. Balanced. The flavor starts light and smooth then grows to some orange clove.

M - Perfect. Soft, good carb.

D - Excellent. I can't wait to pair this with some food.

Appearance – This poured a beautiful orange hazy color with a tight, white, foaming head that showed great retention.

Smell – The yeast and banana notes came flying out of the glass right through the big, foamy head. There seems to be a bit of mild spicing to this one as well.

Taste – The yeast flavor came out nicely here, albiet a little short of the promise at the nose, along with a bit of banana and maybe some mild orange. There also seemed to be a hint of some spice as well; maybe some white pepper?

Mouthfeel – This one showed medium carbonation and was light and fluffy.

Drinkability – This made for a terrific afternoon snack. It had all the components of a good Hefe Weissbier.

A: Pours a straw-golden, hazy color. Thin head with little retention. Very cloudy.

S: Banana esters, clove, some bready/grainy aroma with a hint of bubblegum

Taste and Mouthfeel: It's thin, watery, and light on the tongue. Follow the nose. Nice bits of banana, touch of bubblegum, nice grainy wheat flavor. Medium-carbonation with a medium-low body. Fruity esters.

Overall: An excellent wheat beer. One of the best. Very freshing.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1pint 0.9oz bottle into a weizen glass. The label has a "best before end date" but ABV%.

Appearance: The body has an orange like beige colored body with a creamy white head. This head is extremely thick and long lasting which makes for some good lacing on the glass.

Smell: The aroma has some typical banana peel notes with some mild clove, citrus and light hops in the background.

Taste/Palate: Its medium body has all the good dry wheat, fruity yeast with notes banana, dry spice and a hint of barley grain. The hops add a light bitterness and some dryness to the rather snappy finish. Its active carbonation keeps thing light, lively and refreshing.

Notes: This is defiantly a very solid and refreshing Hefeweizen.

Presentation: Sleek 16 oz brown euro style bottle, no freshness date.

Appearance: With this sample the yeast was swirled and decanted into the glass. Very cloudy pale orange with a creamy white lace.

Smell: Soft oily clove on the nose, fruity and lively with hints of earthy yeast.

Taste: Medium bodied that is meshed well with a marvelously textured mouth feel. Light lemon twang with a very evident snappy spicy clove are followed by warming fruity esters and a fresh baked cracker malt flavour. Hop bitterness is nearly non-existent which is perfect for the style. An earthy yeast character picks up the finish and lends a nutty flavour.

Notes: A little robust and lively, a hard Hefeweizen to beat. Goes really well with a smoked ham and havarti with spicy mustard on marbled rye … a.k.a. a great lunch time brew.

Drank in a pint glass out of the 500 mL bottle. Has a nice dense white head with a pale yellow cloudy body.

The smell is citrusy with coriander.

The taste is medium bodied with a with a slightly tart start, a citrusy middle and barely any hop finish. Full flavor.

Poured from a bottle into a smaple glass.

Appearance: Cloudy yellowish color, the usual for this style beer. About two fingers of white head and some lacing on the glass.

Smell: Slightly heavy on the cloves and banana smells with some citrus and grassy notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Lighter bodied and smooth. Taste just as it smelled, cloves and bananas with some grassy and citrus notes.

Overall: Decent brew, it was one of the more popular ones at my recent beer tasting party, so I might just have to get this one again.

Handsome hazy golden with thick white head, lots of yeast in the nose. Abundant wheat immediately quenches thirst, malts add a warm sweetness, and the hops add a tartness to the finish which still maintains the sweetness, drawn out nicely so you crave another sip. A solid basic hefe, with lively characteristics that keeps flavor dancing on your tongue. This is not as adventuresome as some others, and almost a little watery, but it is consistent and very satisfying. If you are still drinking your hefes out of a regular old pint glass, do yourself a favor and invest in a tall weissbier glass; your appreciation of the beer will double.

This hefe pours a nice, cloudy orange color, aided by plenty of yeast in the bottle. A nice mouthfeel gives way to a rich banana-like flavor, along with a slight hint of cloves. This is one of my summertime favorites, and there are always a few bottles of this in my 'fridge.

.5 L bottle into a weizen glass.

Pours cloudy gold with a three finger head. Carbonation is wild and looks like it came from a tap. Great lacing.

Smells like a good weizen, spicy with nice wheat. Sweet orange notes linger.

Has a nice spicy finish to it. Cloves mix with pepper and a very slight alcohol. Beginning is strong wheat, the middle has that orange that was in the nose. Ends with hops and slight lemon, a little more bitter than what I like.

Mouthfeel is slightly wet with a soft creaminess broken up by the abundant carbonation.

Very delicious and drinkable.

From bottle at the 2014 German Bierfest (ATL).
Hazy light amber with a decent head.
Light body with crisp medium plus carbonation.

Light clove, typical banana, and high tartness for style. A pretty good mix of flavors but would prefer more malt and less banana.

(Served in a weizen glass) best before 2010/07
A- The hazy straw yellow body has big bubbles of carbonation sliding up the sides. There is a white creamy head that last but turns pretty rocky.
S- The classic banana and clove aroma is soft with a slight plastic note to the finish.
T- The taste of club soda and carbonic acid is soft and gives way to a soft white bread flavor which finishes dry. As the beer opens up there is more of a butter note in the finish.
M- The light mouthfeel is crisp with no alcohol heat and the creaminess of the head is great.
D- This is a nice drinkable dry hefeweizen with some soft flavors and aromas. The plastic and butter notes are a bit annoying but not horrible.

A cheerful yellow color, and quite cloudy. Pours a very nice, almost marshmellowing froth on top, which hangs around just long enough. Smell is light and sweet, as is the taste. There's enough citrus flavor here to make the lemon really optional. I'll admit, I havn't tried a lot of Hefe's, but I enjoyed this one quite a bit more than most of the similar American beers out there.

This is one of those rare beers I'd dare to come right out and call 'refreshing.' I think I could drink this stuff all day.

Poured into a hefeweizen glass from 500 ml bottle.

Pours a misty-looking straw yellow with orange-ish highlights. Nice two-finger head from a vigorous pour that dissipates at a comfortable rate, leaving a lot of lacing. Rather nice looking, actually. Smell has a lot of yeastiness to it along with a bit of spice and fruitiness as well.

Initial sip has a very, very slight tinge of bitterness, but it quickly gives way to some yeast and maltiness, with a good amount of citrus nuances as well as some typical banana flavoring. Pretty standard for a hefe, but well-done nonetheless. There's a subdued breadiness to the finish, not as evident as other beers of this type, but enough to make itself known. Not very much of an aftertaste, with the yeastiness lingering the longest on the tastebuds. Mouthfeel is actually a bit on the thinner side, but still quite smooth with a decent amount of carbonation, nothing too extravagant.

Drinkability is good, given the rather low ABV and the pleasantness of the taste. A solid hefeweizen through and through, but still not to the level of some of the better wheat examples like Weihenstephaner and Ayinger. I'd gladly have it again if given the chance, the hallmark of a good, solid beer.
