Appearance: A bomber on a diet, nope it's a trim 16 oz brown bottle with an attractive label, accented by a metallic orange/bronze trim. I poured this one into my Franziskaner weizen glass. Huge billowing white head, very active carbonation going on here. Beneath appears an unfiltered haze of straw liquid.
Aroma: Phenolic fruit scents with a faint clove scent. I have to say that this smells closer to a Belgian Wit than some hefe-weizens.
Taste: the hefe yeast in full effect, wheat backbone provides a bready flavor which is supplemented by a light citrus and clove presence.
Mouthfeel: medium body, crisp from the effervescent bubble action.
Drinkability: as with most weiss beers it goes down very smooth, a perfect summer session beer. After drinking a lot strong ales lately this is a welcome change.

I had this beer once in a four pack that a friend bought for me and was very impressed
Normally, I am not impressed with hefes in bottles, but this was an exception
Poured a nice three finger German head into a wheat beer german glass. Head was impressive, lasted and very distinctive German weissbier mushroom top bloom. beautiful hazy yellow.
Aromas of cloves, bananas and just a faint third spice (grains of paradise?)
Taste follows the nose, with just a hint more citrus
Mouthfeel is full but crisp and refreshing
Overall, I think this is my favorite Hefe-weissen in a bottle. My only regret is that I look for it all the time, and it is hit or miss, the Dunkle is usually whats in stock at least in Atlanta….It left a good impression, because I look for it all the time
