Beer is immediately to the left when you walk in. They have an isle for craft beers. A good selection of some local brews and the big names (Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Sam, Harpoon, Brooklyn, Dogfish) I've found some other nice brews hear as well. This place has a good selection and they do switch it up with some new ones. On a bunch of the beers they have the BA rating listed underneath with a quick description. They have about three fridge doors dedicated to craft brews. This is great when I get out of work and don't want to wait for me beer.
They have a good booze selection and if you want some intense hot sauces or cigars they can help you out.
Friendly staff that is easy to talk to. If you have a question they have no problem answering or finding someone that will.
Occasionally there will be a tasting from a single brewer.
A little pricey for me but because of the proximity to my house I still frequent them.

This place is in the middle of a quiet neighborhood and is not all that big inside. The beer selection is better than you would expect though, carrying a good deal of domestic craft and a smaller selection of imports. They tend to have a lot of the New England area brews too. I have seen things there also that have long since been gone at other places, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I don't see dust piling up on bottles though. Prices are about on average with Boston area, although many things can maybe fifty cents to a dollar or two more than other places. Most things aren't too far off the average though. Marty's has the better selection for Newton, but if you don't want to drive to the other side of town this place has some decent selections.
