I have been here a couple times. It is an older building, and a broken up layout. The location is great though, right off the highway and next door to Lizardville Beer, Whiskey Bar, and bottle shop.
The beer selection here is better than either location in Columbus. Seems like there are more draft options.
Service was good. My main qualm was when I went here last year for Cleveland Beer Week. It was a CBS event, and though the menu and event description stated that CBS would be flowing at opening (9am or something), it wasn't on yet when we arrived. in fact, I had never had CBS before, and we ordered something like 5 glasses of Breakfast Stout before the waitress told us they put the wrong keg on and were now serving CBS. At this point the joint was busy as hell and they were out of good glassware, and served our CBS in wine glasses. Shit dude.
Otherwise no issues here. It's about average for the chain overall in most respects.

We were visiting my sister-in-law in the Cleveland area. On Saturday night we were baby sitting my 6 year old niece. We asked her where she wanted to go to eat and she suggested this place. I was very pleased with her selection to say the least. My expectations were low. I am not from that area and had never heard of this chain. As we waited for a table and observed the lizard, I glanced in the bar and saw many taps! I got excited. Then we were seated and I spent a lot of time with the beer list. I settled on Founders Breakfast Stout and followed it with a Dogfish Head Chicory Stout. Both were very tasty choices. Considering the number of beers on tap, I am surprised that I was able to limit myself to these. Very pleased though.
The food was adequate. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The slaw was unremarkable. Service was very slow.

The exploits of the various Winking Lizards are well documented, but I think this one stands below some of the others I have visited. The size of the space is relatively small, and easy to fill up, and their patio feels a bit crammed. The selection is wide but shallow if that makes any sense. At any time they probably have 150 beers in house with 10-15 rotating taps plus the BMC standbys. I do like that they offer flights for a reasonable price, but you can only get them with the lesser tapped beers. Food is the standard pub grub, but they seem to specialize in wings. One thing I will say for them - their house barbecue sauce might be the best I have ever tasted. Of course it is absolutely horrible for you, but mmm, so good.

Visited the Winking Lizard Tavern while in Beachwood for some company sponsored training.
Looked like your average run of the mill local tavern from outside. Was skeptical when I saw the sheer size of the building and the hostess station layout, but was not particularly happy with the layout and size of the parking lot.
We were seated in the back party room, and before I could sit down was being asked about what beer I might like. Once I saw the beer list, I was extremely happy with the varied selection. Started with a GL Nosferatu on draft, and enjoyed a bottled Thirsty Dog Siberian Night with dinner. Both beers were served in clean glassware, and the draft was poured properly.
Service was attentive and geared toward us having a good experience. Everyone raved about the ribs, my buffalo chicken wrap was fantastic, and the chicken wings were fantastic but not very spicy. Went back two days later to enjoy some grilled BBQ wings, which were some of the best I've ever had.
Beer list was great. Were a lot of bottle selections, but not enough where freshness and rotation become a problem. Selections ranged from Trappist to BMC. Well-balanced. My return trip included a bartender discussing her thoughts on the differences between Avery IPA and Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale. Her discussion seemed quite spot on.
Overall, would definitely return. Seemed like a very local crowd and a very nice selection of beers, at very reasonable costs. All the food was great, the service was top notch, and the beer selection surpassed my initial expectations.

Visited here for the first annual Winking Lizard Real Ale Festival. While the majority of the time was spent in the Party Center, I was able to see the entire compound. This WL location is on Miles Rd not too far off the freeway.
The interior is similar to other locations. There is a centrally located bar, a lizard habitat, and restaurant seating. In the party center the brewers were situated in the center (8 in all) with a buffet and convention-style seating.
Winking Lizard has around 20 beers on tap, including a draught of the month (keep the glass) and a "hoppy handle". They are well known for there 125+ bottled beers, of which drinking 100 will earn a prize in their world tour of beers.
Service was very good at the Real Ale Fest. The servers did a good job complementing the brewers in attendance.
The food was also pretty good. Mostly appetizers and finger food but good by that measure.
Overall I would definitley recommend this place to anyone in the Bedford Heights area.

I like the cozy atmoshphere provided, but I really like the Coventry spot if doing comparison shopping. Nice diverse crowd, with an uplifting background noise of chatter and laughter.
Competent service for food, but my server didn't know beer from water.
Selection is above average, but you know when you are a BA when there are 100 to choose from, but there are only about 15 that you haven't tried/want to try. And these were severly limited due to the outageous price tags. Ouch! Way too high IMO.
Food is very good and priced better.

This Winking Lizard has a relaxed, after-work hang-out atmosphere. Suitable for reviewing rare imports, as well as pairing delicious pub grub with top-notch domestics.
The staff are courteous and quick, and you won't have to ask for a non-chilled pint glass. They offer the same line-up as the rest of the chain, which is actually quite a wide array of beer. The "World Tour" seems to keep everything rotated and freshly stocked; as I have yet to recieve a skunked or out-of-date beer in any one of their establishments. Some of the outstanding beer is surprisingly cheap; however the average beer is priced a little high, but the food is not, and above average comapred to other restaraunt-style bars.
Servers know enough about the beers they offer to suggest something similiar if they don't have what you want. Locals can enjoy stopping in with co-workers for lunch or after-hour drinks, but its also a fine place to visit if you want to try a new seasonal before you commit to buying a 6-pack.

One of my favorite Winking Lizards. The patio is great, its rather large with quite a few tvs and the service does not falter at all when you go outside.
The beers are the same Winking Lizard beers. Good selection being that they have the Lizard Beer Tour, but the bottles can be very pricey.
The food is above average bar food. Good wings, great burgers, free popcorn, amazing bbq sauce.
The service is also better than most Winking Lizards- the staff is actually knowledgable about their beers and very helpful.

When I visited, they weren't all that crowded for a Saturday night, and I was at least able to find parking pretty easily. Prices aren't that bad; including tip, I parted with less than $20, and that was for four beers: DFH 60 min (draught) x 2, Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse (draught - ask for no lemon if that's important to you), and Unibroue Blanche de Chambly (bottle, probably). The Unibroue is their beer of the month for June, which means it comes in glassware from the brewery that you get to keep, which is nice, even though witbier in a tulip glass is kind of a mismatch. Having never tried Blanche before, I saw the picture of the glass and assumed it was a stronger ale -- but I think I like it, no matter what glass it's in.
All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, and we got some middle-aged Bud Light drinkers to join the "world beer tour." I don't think they'll make it, but at least they're trying. I would have joined, too, but I'm moving in a month, so it would've been a waste of the $10 fee.

Dark, smoky, and dirty inside. The bottled beer selection is quite comprehensive, but the tap selection is limited. I had a slab of meat loaf with some mashed potatoes on the side, and paid for it about 3 hours later - ugh.
Anyway, this place was thoroughly unimpressive, but what made it awful was the complete lack of service. Our server, a seemingly mild-mannered lady in her 50's, knew little to nothing about the beer, and was woefully inattentive. To make matters worse, she short-changed me (don't know if it was intentional or not). Maybe I hit it on a bad night, but I don't see myself ever going back.
