This is my hometown watering hole, and I'm finally glad to see that it made the Beerfly directory. While the 'Vette isn't necessarily a "Beer Destination" by definition, Mike (the owner) has definitely gone to great lengths to improve the beer selection over the last several years. When I first started going in there, they had OLD MUD on tap... yes, Old Milwaukee, along with Bud, Bud Light, Miller, Coors, etc. Now serving brews on twelve taps, you are always sure to find two or three (sometimes four) Troegs taps, including Rugged Trail, Troegenator and rotating seasonals like Sunshine Pils, Mad Elf, or Nugget Nectar. They also have a rotating Stoudt's tap that changes regularly (and recently has included Fat Dog, Pils, APA, and Tripel). Guinness, Yuengling Lager and Woodchuck are always on tap, as well as a rotating Sam Adams tap. Blue Moon and Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat are two recent additions. Occasionally, you'll be lucky to find gems like Bear Republic Racer 5, Old Rasputin or a Magic Hat offering that isn't #9. There are a few taps reserved for macros, so you'll always see Miller Lite, Labatt Blue and Coors Light on tap.
Aside from the tap selection, you'll find quite an impressive and varied bottle selection including several PA breweries like Lancaster, Yards, Philadelphia, ABC and Victory. I've also seen them stock everything from East Coast big timers like DFH and Brooklyn to mid-west breweries like Bells. Throw in some odd imports from all over the world and you get an idea of their selection. They also keep some macros, Lion's Head and malternatives to keep the locals happy.
As for the food, they have extremely reasonably priced bar food, including excellent wings, burgers, sandwiches and wraps. They also have homemade soups that are usually quite good, as well as daily specials including three tacos for $2.50 on Wednesday nights. They usually have one nice dinner selection each night, and I've had some great meatloaf, smoked chops and chicken there in the past. I've also had more than my share of grilled cheese sandwiches.
If you are ever heading through Annville on Rt. 422, or if you are in the vicinity, then you should definitely stop in for a beer or two. If you stop in between the hours of 4-6pm on M-F, you can get any draft for only $2.00. Where else can you get a Troegs for $2.00? While they don't have the ridiculous selection that the Batdorf (across the street) now has, this is a great place to kick back and enjoy a few good beers and enjoy some really tasty, cheap food. Come in on a Wednesday night for the tacos... I'm usually sitting at the bar!
EDIT: The Vette is now non-smoking!

Went here the other night and had a good time. The inside was a bit on the biker side of bars, but there is a nice back porch. Service was good and out waitress was very friendly and had a good time with our group. A decent selection of beer including all domestics to Yuengling (5$ pitchers!!), Guinness, and Troges. The highlight is the wings. There is a good selection, and you have to try the Cajun or extra hot. Other food was good, especially the burgers and fries. Very cheap prices especially on pitchers. Overall if you find yourself in Annville, there isnt much else and this is your best bet for the price.

Since making friends, from BA, with a a fellow beer lover from Annville and the addition of the Batdorf down the street, I have had the pleasure of getting to know the Corvette Bar as well.
Make no mistake about it, this is often times a smoky, hometown watering hole. But, the owner has made serious strides in getting quality stuff in both the bottle cooler and on tap. This place makes for a great one-two punch with the Batdorf being literally one block away!
The taps are regularly rotated and the bottle selection changes up weekly so you know things are kept fresh and there is always something to look forward to!
The food, while simple and certainly not gourmet, is inexpensive and good. The menu includes such items as your typical sandwiches, wraps. burgers and wings. The highlight for me is the three tacos for $2.50 on Wednesday nights. How can you go wrong with that?
They also have a nightly dinner special that is usually a homey type offering.
To drive home the value point happy hour runs from 4-6PM, M-F, when any draft is only $2.00! This is even a better deal than my local favorite Brew House Grille's happy hour!
So, if in Annville (or in nearby beer wasteland Hershey) do yourself a favor and check out the growing beer scene in this little PA Dutch country town. Between the Corvette Bar and Batdorf Hotel there is enough good beer flowing to keep even the most picky BA happy for a while!
