Without a doubt the best place in town for any Belgian beer lover. Other drinks are served too, beer is Belgian only. And that is an asset!
Apart from Westvleteren, the menu features the full range of Trappist beers, most of the other best known Belgians, such as Duvel, Tripel Karmeliet, Kwak and Hoegaarden, and a number of less well known but very tasty brews such as Brigand. Also, one of the taps regularly changes and most of the time contains a pleasant surprise.
Even though the cafe is large, each part has the look and feel of a small and cosy place. They also have a beautiful outdoor cafe with a view of a 19th century chapel: the perfect place to sit long enough for your beer to get to the right temperature, as they frequently serve it too cold, unfortunately.
Service is a bit slow at times, but staff is friendly and know their beers well.
