I've been to Riddles a couple of times and have finally gotten enough of an experience to review it.
Riddles has a great atmosphere with nice dark hardwood dinning area and nice slender bar. The lighting is nice and dark and there is always good music ranging from country/bluegrass to jazz, to blues and rock.
They always offer the best that is around St. Louis in terms of draft beer. The service is great I've always had the same guy wait on me and he's always attentive but not bothersome and diligent with my drink and food orders. The draft selection isnt too crazy but always top quality and always have the most up-to-date bottles available in the area.
The food prices are a bit much but its delicious food. Both the Lasagna and Spinach Lasagna are great.

Riddle's is a well-known spot around St. Louis, with a tap selection that changes on a regular basis and over 80 different beers in bottles from other countries as well as the States. The beer bottle list is organized by country of origin and also gives distinctions between L (Light colored and Lager), D (Dark Colored and Stouts), A (Amber Colored and Ales), and S (Specialty and Flavored).
Atmosphere is friendly, loud, and boisterous on weekend nights when there is live music playing and more laid-back when there isn't. It is a great spot for late-night entertainment with a large group of friends. The food is also delicious, if you should choose to eat, definitely on the expensive side but for good reason.
All in all, this is a great place to eat, gather, and/or drink. It is a local favorite and a must-visit if you are in the area. It's also right down the street from many other great bars such as Blueberry Hill and Cicero's, which makes it convenient for a night of sampling and sessioning.

I could not tell from the outside but this place is a bit classy and has an awesome selection. There is no beer-only menu but instead a drink menu, complete with 10+ pages of wines (if you care) and a few pages of beers, separated by country.
The waitstaff definitely knew their beers. Most people don't know what you are talking about when you ask for Duvel and pronounce it correctly (dOOffull) but I was served without a second guess. I was mostly served appropriate and clean glassware - snifter for St. Bernardus 12, Duvel tulip for Duvel, but was a bit confused when I got a short stange for Hobgoblin.
Both the St. Bernardus and the Duvel were fresh, but the Hobgoblin had little to no head.
The live music was tasteful and enjoyable, and not outrageously loud. The food is gourmet and priced accordingly. Please keep in mind I gave it $$ for "reasonable" because the high prices were appropriate. However, if asked to rank it only on price I would give it $$$. You're looking at $18-30 per meal and around $6-$9 per beer (but we're talking world class beers here).
